Great stuff and they needed more of that

Yeah its like the live action disney movies- they hit the iconic moments but don't let them breathe; feels like they hit them just cause they felt they had to hit them.

tldr he didn't like the ending, open world design and pacing of minigames

but liked everything else

he said in his review that aerith is lame and that yuffie sucks

this is a death sentence LMFAO

the shippers will get mad

yeah this was a great review

one thing I didn't like about the review though

him saying that Rebirth has barely RPG elements

what is this guy smoking?

what the firetruck does an RPG need to do to meet his hyperspecific standards?

the gearing system is great

what are you taIking about

I wouldn't call this "light"

okay Iook

the parts where it's just

barret and dyne taIking

are great

but the rest is the definition of overdoing it

why does it have 3 phases and WHY DOES

PALMER

SHOW UP??

LMFAAAOOOO when we had another major "rpg" release with literally nothing, OKAAAAYYY

it's firetrucking weird because according to his own rules witcher 3 wouldn't be a RPG

elden ring wouldn't be an rpg either

I honestly start to believe he wants Path of Exile skill trees in RPGs

regarding rpg systems

and FF has never been about this

and sometimes it sounds that he applies the logic "if it sucks it doesn't exist"

Most japanese rpgs aren't even like that

Like yeah the rare one like elden ring and dragons dogma

sorry but yeah the weapon system isn't great and the skill trees in Rebirth firetrucking suck but that doesn't mean they aren't rpg elements

But for the majority it's pretty defined stuff and the rpg comes from handling stuff in the game like skills, items and such

same for the relationship thing

the relationship chart is completely pointless and it's still an approach at least

they can use these systems in future games and improve them

SE is building on a lot of systems currently

and these teams are working together

Renown and the world intel currency are basically the same thing

the skill tree in Rebirth and XVI are also the same

they definitely know in which direction they want to go

and that's great

and should be encouraged

I only see improvements in modern FF so far

and I freaking love it

they have come so far

the biggest challenge is probably the budget

they can only make 4 characters playable

which is why people shouldn't expect 8 playable characters if they decide to use Rebirth's combat system in XVII

LMAO

💀

"wrinkly ass titties" 💀

Whose side are you on man you like Yuffie and Aerith 😭

You can't just contradict your feelings and morals to stick it to fans you don't like and don't even interact with man 😭😭😭

team dio or team gabe

Yeah..... I don't get what he wants from a game anymore tbh

Wait so even post patch
Graphics will try and be 4K even if your TV can't do it and performance is still at the odd 1168p resolution?
