honestly, I thought it was a terrible device that gave them an excuse to push all the juicy story off screen

the idea is great

16s execution was not

there's an entire war going on and we see NONE of it outside of the tutorial

it's all explained in ATL and through Vivian

Oh I did not like Vivian

Not only does she appear out of nowhere, I am suddenly forced to listen to her ramble on politics they should have shown

there are plenty of ways to thrust your audience into a new world while exposing them to the history in a friendly manner. 16 could have done that, but instead it chose to thrust you into the heart of it without doing the whole trope of characters explaining things to you so instead you're forced to read up on it or ignore it and be lost

ATL should be sometime that further enhances the information you're given, not something that's almost required reading

and with how often entries were updated and how many there were in general, it was basically an entire book of information that you're given none of organically

both 15 and 16 run into this problem of having so much information off screen like this. in 15, there was essential lore that was needed to understand the ending just tucked away in some books that you can find in optional side quests

that's so silly

So I asked my JP community source and they said that Cloud's VA is still the same in Rebirth.

the affair’s apparently been going on for 10 years now

the affair partner was a female staff member (hereby referred to as A) of the radio, and ended up quitting once after she knew he was married

his wife (referred to as B) also didn’t know about it until recently

A ended up quitting after she found out he was married, which was VERY recently

A also had to go to the emergency room because she was in a severe state of shock

his agency wasn’t aware that he was married until after Bunshun initially reported his marriage news

I am surprised he was able to keep his marriage hidden from not only the person he cheated with but also his agency
