Wouldn't it be cool if characters from The World Ends With You were in Kingdom Hearts? I don't think it's very likely but TWEWY is by Square Enix so it might happen.

 

I could totally see Kairi and Shiki being like best friends and Neku or Beat fighting with Sora.

I agree, I don't want Neku and the other characters in KH series. Just leave KH as it is. Besides, Disny said that only Disney characters and FF characters can be in KH series. Having TWEWY characters would just make things confusing and would probably have a plot twist to it, thus having people confused on how TWEWY characters in KH universe. Besides, I don't see what role that Neku and co. would play in KH.

I like the thoughtfulness, but the idea just isn't a good one. sorry.

But all the TWEWY characters are just clones of KH characters with slightly different costumes.

I've never played TWEWY so I couldn't say, but it wouldn't happen anyway. Disney wouldn't allow it as it isn't one of theirs or Final Fantasy.

Exactly, having a KH, FF, TWEWY crossover would not make the series feel like a KH game anymore. It's like saying you want Marvel characters in KH.

God, TWEWY had one of the best scripts ever imo. I was surprised at how well they managed to incorporate memes and teen slang into the dialogue ^^ It felt so natural.

Okay, well, TWEWY's characters might look quite a lot like Kingdom Hearts characters, but I think that's more to do with Nomura's art style. Like, just because Joshua has light hair, people liken him to Riku, even though he's much slighter, and his personality is different. Sora and Neku couldn't be any less like each other, and their only real resemblance is their build and spikey hair, which isn't the same style or colour or anything. And, okay, Kairi and Shiki look alike, I have no defence for that because they ARE pretty alike. Shiki's a bit realer and a lot more selfish, though.

 

But, being on topic, I don't think they'd incorporate well at all. I loved the manga aspect to TWEWY's cutscenes, and I don't think I'd like it as much if the characters were 3D, because it suited the style the game had. The characters would lose their flair through the Disney-type scripting- because, let's be fair, while TWEWY was a sprawl of cultural references, KH doesn't have anywhere near as much of that, and the dialogue is completely different. TWEWY's writing was amazing, KH's is... not bad, definitely. It's good for what it is, as is TWEWY- and they just happen to be completely different things.

 

A reference would be nice, but a full-blown character or world? It just wouldn't work. Disney worlds and magical keys... and then urban Shibuya, with a high-stakes fight for their lives for seven days? Not really a match made in heaven.
