*OKAY...there's probably 10 gazillion peeps on this website who have posted this exact same thing. BUT I DON'T CARE! I'm too lazy to go through all 88 pages of threads to see if someone else posted it.* ANYWAYS, me and my friend are making a fanfiction for my other friend b/c she loves Vanitas (especially Vanitas/Kairi) and whatevs. But we don't know how we could ever...bring him back... *depressing*

 

What my friend came up with was combining a small part of Ven's heart with the darkness with Sora's heart. Personally, I don't think that's gonna work out for two reasons.

1. How the hell would you combine them???

And 2. Wouldn't the light and dark from 2 different people make a completely different person?

I'm also asking this 'cause we're gonna post it on FanFiction.net, and there's some REALLY "keeping it real people" on there, if you know what I mean. Yeah, they honestly don't give a rat's tail if you put an author's note at the top saying:

well.................vanitas is made out of pure darkness from ven so it left ven a heart of pure light so if you try to combine ven and soras heart...... well im not sure but i think if vanitas is to ever return he has to made out of the darkness from vens heart.

The same way Sora mended Ven's heart 4 years before BBS? But anyways, if you were to do that, Vanitas wouldn't be Vanitas. It is quite possible for Vanitas to return. It's just that if you want the Vanitas we know and love in BBS to return, your friend's theory is NOT the way to go. Somehow, Ven's dark half has to be restored. Theoretically, that's all you need, considering that the first time around, Vanitas' heart was even more fractured than Ven's, but he was able to complete it on his own. Don't quote me on that though. >.>

No, if you merge a heart of pure light and a heart of pure darkness you get the X-Blade actually. You won't get a totally new person in any way.

 

@harp note, Combining Sora and ven's heart won't really result in anything. it will just repair one-another's heart at best. But Nomura has stated that Vanitas's Remnant is canon to the series in a interview. So who really knows if Vanitas will return or not.

I don't think he could (not if we wanted him to look the same or make a X-Blade or whatever the hell light and dark wanna make. Children, maybe x]), but she's making a whole Vaniri storyline, and she wants badass Vanitas to go "Mr. Nice Guy" by the end and turn on the darkness/bad guys just to be with Kairi.

 

I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE. For all we know, the remainders of Vanitas could be in Riku's heart, and that's why their dark suits/Keyblades/battle stances are similar. But that would just screw up our storyline even MORE. *sigh*

fool. Maybe since Ven survied that fight with a damaged heart, Vanitas could have too. One of Xehanort's back up plan could have been holding Vanitas' damaged heart within himself, like Sora did for Ven. When Xehanort turned into Heartless, Vanitas' heart fragment could have went within Ansem SoD. Which may have helped Ansem SoD retain his Human form with so much darkness. Then when Ansem SoD opens the door to darkness, all of that extra darkness could have recovered Vanitas' heart. With the heart recovered, it returned to Vanitas' body. And now he's back.

Vanitas wouldn't just come back simply because Sora's darkness have been extracted. Remember, in BBS Vanites was defeated and faded into mini dusts of light. It seems really impossible for him to come back through Sora's darkness.

 

@KairiXVanitas, there are no "remains" of Vanitas in Riku's heart. Vanitas would've just gone and harboured his heart like Ven did, with Riku's in order for his to be restored and to return. The only "remains" that were Vanitas was his Remnant since it is just made up of Vanitas's negatve feelings. And just because they have similiar battle stances and dsrk suits doesn't mean they are related in any way. And also, there's no possible way for Ven's heart to be extracted from within Sora. Ven's heart already got extracted in BBS when MX used his keyblade to extract all his darkness. So now all that's left in him is light and the fact that his heart is being re-constructed with Sora's heart.

 

@MasterXemnas, Vanitas never "survived" after Ven and Vanitas's final battle. Vanitas pretty much just faded completely. There are no remains of him except if you count his Remnant. And Xehanort never made a "back up plan" by having a part of Vanitas harbour within his own heart. So Vanitas didn't have nothing to do with Ansem SoD retain his "human" form. He only used Riku's body to do that. Nothing else to it. And he only wanted to use the Door To Darkness to over flow and cover the worlds in Darkness.

Xehanorts ultimate goal is to gain control of Kingdom Hearts. Since Sora plans on bringing back Ventus/ Roxas it is likely that Xehanort might manage to separate Ventus' heart again so he can forge the X-blade.

 

Plus the Vanitas is a great character and it would be very disappointing if he was never to return.

Not only obtain KH, but also to obtain the X-Blade and start a new keyblade war and see it with his own eyes. And Sora never "planned" on restoring Ven's heart, only help restore it. But I doubt he remembers that now since it was 10 years ago. And Roxas has in any way no connection with Ventus. And Yen Sid stated that MX has a new plan. He's not gonna have a repeat of what he did 10 years ago. Besides, Ven's heart already got extracted so there's no darkness in him now. Just only light.

tuffi frutti. I kind of think that vanitas will return. MX may still require him as part of his plan for the keyblade war. MX had obtained KH in BBS, how he obtained it and for how long is still a mystery, in which case it is still possible, that since he had planned on obtaining Terra's body, KH could be stored somewhere as a backup. I think that Vanitas will be brought back in an unexpected way.

So...wouldn't it be restored with darkness? Besides, that would be pretty stupid if Ven kept on running without any darkness in his heart...that's like...Superman without the Sun. It doesn't work out too well...it doesn't work out at ALL lol.

 

And I always thought that a heart was incomplete without dark (or vice versa; a heart without light). Well, unless you're a PoL. So, unless Ven is a princess, I'm saying that the darkness is gonna return to his heart. And it probably wouldn't be MX...smartass Pete or maybe even Maleficent would find out how to do it and extract it once Ven's heart was fully restored.

Trust me, Vanitas is coming back.

Your guess is as good as anyone's since there is no real proof as to whether he went anywhere else after he was "destroyed" inside Ventus. You can't insist either way, not fully- and, at the moment, saying that Vanitas couldn't have moved on from Ven somehow is just as likely as him surviving their encounter.

Besides, Ven's heart already got extracted so there's no darkness in him now. Just only light.

 

Ven and Vanitas (partially) fused together, right? I was thinking after Vanitas was defeated he went back into Ven's heart. And (to support this) if you read the last part of the Final Episode timeline thing it says "Ven was drifting through his own darkness..."

So... If ventus is coming back, who knows what happened to Vanitas, maybe, like Ventus, he found his way in someone's heart. Maybe that person was Riku. Vanitas' body didn't go anywhere, it disappeared, so Idk.

And what about Vanitas Lingering spirit? He's cannon, remember? maybe he will come back, and take on Ventus or Aqua, since she was his Plan B. He might even take over Sora, thus removing Sora's heart and taking over his body. Either way, if you choose the last option, Kairi might not be all that interested.

Not likely, VAnitas never connected his heart with anyone else's except for Ven when they had forged together. Then, got defeated by Ventus and faded away into nothing. So it's unlikely for Vanitas to make a possible return.

there's no way that Ven will get affected by Sora's darkness, or affect his hearless or even create a different heartless. His heart is just full of light. He's pretty much like the princesses of heart in a way. No darkness can be inside Ven nor consume his heart.

Yes, but there's no possible way that Sora's darkness could have affected ven's heart. His light is too strong for Sora's darkness to affect Ven since his heart is just filled with light.

Vanitas IS Ventus's darkness if you've forgotten. When they forged back together, Ven had all his darkness back inside his heart up until the point that Vanitas was defeated. And the only way for the X-Blade to be created if a being of pure light and a being a pure darkness for they creat the X-Blade. making the X-Blade again won't revive Vanitas.

 

He might even take over Sora, thus removing Sora's heart and taking over his body.

But Sora heart isn't full of light. Remember, in Kh1 when Sora stabbed himself it created his heartless in the process. So that right there shows that Sora has darkness in his heart.

 

Kairi might not be all that interested.

Probably some of his darkness made the vanitas remnant and the fact that vanitas remnant talks, makes me think hes survived

mabey when Ven is revived Vanitas will be revived too.

In KHIII, there should be a boss fight where Sora enters Ven's heart (their hearts are roommates after all ) and find out in a shocking twist that Vanitas is still in his heart and is the reason it cant repair itself.

 

Im pretty down for a face to face with Sora and Vanitas, itd be the most epic fight yet
