Check your homepage. You know the beta last month? Well now they put it into action and completely killed youtube.

 

I hate this new homepage In the old format I liked the subscriptions in chronological order, I liked easy access to statistics and friend activity and I liked how easy it was to organize things and see your inbox at a glance.

 

Now everything is jumbled up and out of order. There are more ads than ever and it takes 30 thousand clicks to get to a video.

 

Why can't youtube leave things the way they are? They just have to go out and ruin it. They are in no danger of loosing visitors because people visit for the videos, not the site. Now they made it harder to look at the freaking videos.

The Tube is an intevitble piece of junk, I say all YT users should defunt this site. no site no bussiness, no bussiness leson learned. OR, Sipley jst move on, to a different site totally do not like the Tube (it's not YouTube Anymore since I feel liek they took he YOU out of it) PC Batards.liek veoh, or some other place I

The only reason why I still use youtube is because it's where most of the videos on the internet are.

 

But the second a video sharing website comes out with the same quality content that youtube USERS put out then I'm going there.

I wholeheartedly agree wit you FredFred its just as failtarded as their new user page nearly two years I still think its awesome now. The only one this provides comfort to is them in that like you said they can just shove mor ads down our throats!!!

Yeah it seems that they keep renovating the site to make room for ads. The last one where they removed the sidebar was so they could put ads there. Now they are squishing the homepage to make more room. The only update they ever made that wasn't for ads was the personal youtube channel update. It was annoying at first but I kinda like it now. But it's only a matter of time before ads appear on our own profiles which will probably be the next update knowing how they have been acting lately.

I'm not surprised. I've been using youtube since 2006 and created an account in 2008 which was the last year that youtube could really be called youtube.

Well remember, YouTube is a business. A business owned by GOOGLE no less. What's the goal of any business? To make money. So obviously, the more ads they put on the page, the more money they make.

 

Sure, YouTube shouldn't do that, but it's not really YouTube anymore. It's 'Google Presents YouTube' now, and Google is one of the biggest businesses of all time. Of course if they have to choose between their users and money, they'll choose the latter.

 

Besides, most users are all talk anyway, so when they say they'll stop using the site forever, or boycott Google, they almost never go through with it.

I won't leave youtube yet. But if a decent replacement comes up, then I might, I just might.

I've been on YouTube since 2008 and I've seen heaps of changes. The old bulletins getting taken down, the beta channels, new video pages, streams being removed.. And now yet another new home page. Ugh, I miss the good old site that was known as YouTube. Now it's all ads and google. When a site like YouTube pops up, don't be surprised if I end up on it.

 

This is just ridiculous. I'm sick of going to watch something and having ads cover the whole page. /:

with youtube, all you need is some people to moderate videos, NOTHING ELSE IS NEEDED.

They had this in preview before. Theres really nothing left from the good old YouTube.

i still miss the bit on the front page i always used, which showed how many PMs/Comments you have recieved and can just click on them there to go there. now i have to go into the stupid inbox.

I never thoguth it was the best streaming site here are many others that are a lot better. Veoh for example! anyways, I don;t see whay yout Tubies are stuck on YT.
