So there is a small plot hole in Ven's story about the unversed. We know that Eraqus told Terra and Aqua about the Unversed an their name, so where did Ven learn it? Nobody ever tells him the term "Unversed" so where could he learned that term? He calls Unversed "Unversed" tree times in his story...

I noticed that. I was thinking he might have been told by someone, who had heard the name from Terra or Aqua. But, the creators did mess up there. Wonder if that's fixed in Final Mix?

He probably just learned the name of-screen.

Also, I wouldn't really call it a mistake though.

Well just because something doesn't pop up in in-game dialog doesn't mean it never happened. There's probably plenty of dialog between characters that we just don't hear. Like I'm sure Sora and Donald and Goofy chat in the gummy ship and Malifecent talks with the other villians at hollow bastion. Same applies here. Someone probly just told Ven off screen.

Ven refers to Unversed as Monsters for the first bit. After Radiant Garden he calls them Unversed inexplicably. It wouldn't be impossible that there was simply an unseen cutscene where their name was explained, but yeah...

I think he knows because vanitas is his other half and i heard vanitas could feel some of the things ventus feels? Know where im going? I think ventus felt that they were called unversed

he know there name becuse his heart is the same as vanites ( the other one ) and Vanites was summoning them , thats why he know there names

Ven gets to strange world.

Sees dwarf people.

"Wooooooooooooooooooow!"

Evil looking blue creatures come out of the ground.

"DIE, POSSIBLY NATIVE CREATURES!!!"
