tutti frutti. As I'm sure that everybody knows by now that Sora and Riku will be given the Mark of Mastery Exam so that they will be given the title of being "TRUE" Keyblade Masters. But does anyone think that Kairi should be trained so that she should be given the Exam and help Sora and Riku? Even though she was given a keyblade by Riku so that she would be able to defend herself in KH2(The World That Never Was). But I would like to see that happen, especially since Kairi didn't want to just sit back and wait in KH2. I'd like to see a second female keyblade wielder, after Aqua. (If you count Xion as a female keyblade Wielder that is your choice). I think that Yen Sid should train Kairi and give her the Mark of Mastery Exam. Beats being a damsel in distress, and it could help her with her role as a Princess of Heart.

Well, Kairi's heart doesn't have the qualifications to weild a keyblade. Her heart has to be strong enough in order for that to happen. She's not exactly a true keyblade weilder regardless if she weilded Destiny's Embrace. The only reason why she was able to weild that keyblade because she borrowed some of that power from Riku.Besides, Nomura has made it very clear that she won't be taking the Exam like Sora and Riku are. She isn't a true keyblade weilder. So honestly, I don't see how it would help her with the role of being a PoH. Especially since her only role was to open the Door to Darkness. But that got sealed by Sora and Mickey a while after. So I don't see what bigger role she has to play as a PoH after KH1.

actually, I'd like to see Kairi doing something, but I really doubt such thing will happen.

What Kh125 said. Also, don't know if you noticed, but everyone who has taken the Mark of Mastery has years of experience and skill, which Sora and Riku have. Do you think it's the right time for Yen Sid to train Kairi, who has no skills and experience, and then test her in the Mark of Mastery in such a short time before they face Xehanort? Sure, if they had a year before facing Xehanort, but no, it's happening now, and there just isn't any time.

No, she has too little experience. If she was going to do anything with the keyblade, she should have used it earlier. She has no natural talent, and has no real experience in fighting enemies. Riku and Sora have both faced Organization members, heartless, and Ansem SOD along with Xemnas. Both of them are also stronger than Roxas when they dueled. She may be able to provide magic support but that's it.

I have seen some big debates on whether Kairi is able to summon a Keyblade. If she can not summon, the answer to why she isn't going to have an Exam is simple. If she can, she will not have an Exam soon since she has little to no experience.

I agree that Kairi should be given a more...active role in future KH games. If she can't summon a Keyblade, I think it would be interesting for her to start using Light as an offensive weapon.

According to the Birth by Sleep Ultimania, Kairi has the ability to use the Keyblade because Aqua accidentally did the ceremony when young Kairi touched her keyblade, begging for help.

As for the original question, I suppose if she does take the exam, it won't be in the near future. Even though Aqua's her master by ceremony, there's no guarantee that she'll WANT to teach her, considering it was an accidental circumstance. I suppose it also depends on the circumstances of the stories in future games.

U would think that Riku would have taught her a thing or to about using the keyblade in between kh2 and coded.

If he did then maybe she could take the test too, just at a different time.

But didn't you watch the cutscenes or read what happened in Birth by Sleep? Aqua accidently gave the power of wielding the Keyblade to Kairi when she had to rescue her from the Unversed. Incidently, Kairi is a true Keyblade wielder and my theory is, unlike Sora and Riku, she hasn't wielded the Keyblade long enough to take the Mark of Mastery Exam.

She isn't a 'true' Keyblade Wielder though. She can use a Keyblade, yes. But she can't summon one herself, she has to be handed one. Because the rite wasn't knowingly performed, so the power didn't fully get passed on.

Either way, Kairi will not be taking the Exam anytime soon.

I had not heard this was talked about in the BBS Ultimania. Do you now where we could get a look at this entree?

tutti frutti. I do remember Kairi touching Aqua's Keyblade in BBS. If making contact with a Keyblade is enough to be able to have the chance to use one then its possible for her to use it. I vaguely remember that other than a strong heart a person has to have other qualities to use the Keyblade, although we don't really know what the other qualities are.

Honestly, I don't know where anyone is coming up with the idea that Kairi isn't a true Keyblade wielder. Where's the proof? Seriously, I don't remember Nomura ever saying that. However, she did have the Rite performed accidentally on her. I think she is a true Keyblade wielder, but hasn't had an Awakening. I think Riku more pulled her own Keyblade out of her because she was unaware of its existence. And how does Kairi not have a strong heart? She's a Princess of Heart, for goodness sake. She's demonstrated time and time again how strong her heart is. Saving Sora from being a Heartless, the bond between her and Sora opening the Door to Light

Well, if you read all the interviews when they came out, you'd know lol. Well, I don't have a link, but it was on this site when it came out, so you can check the page selection on the bottom of the homepage until you find the BBS Ultimania. Also, if you played or watched a walkthrough of BBS, you'll see Kairi touch Aqua's keyblade when she was in danger.

Lucky for you, I found it. Might as well read the whole thing for stuff you might not know lol

If that was true, then Leon and Jack Sparrow would be Keyblade Wielders.
