Just because he uses darkness doesn't mean he'll automatically fail. Yen Sid isn't against darkness like Eraqus was. Riku uses his darkness for good, so it's fine.

Anyway, in some ways I have to wonder if 3D might be about what would have happened if Riku had gotten Kingdom Key (like he was supposed to) and Sora had to use other means to save Kairi (like Darkness). This would "tear down past elements".

 

If that was the case, Riku would be wielding the Keyblade, and not Soul Eater.

 

Good point, Good Sir. Maybe we'll just see a Riku more aligned with Light. (Just because we don't see it in the trailer doesn't mean it won't happen. Riku is a Dawn wielder). But I REALLY want to see a Dark Sora. Things seem to be pointing at that. Either way, Nomura will find someway to mess with our minds.

How can it be shocking if you and so many others think it will happen?

Personally, I think the shocking ending will just be a normal ending. He says the ending will be shocking, so everyone tries to come up with ideas as to how or why it's shocking and come up with many different theories on how it will end. Then they play it, see it's a normal ending, and be shocked that the ending wasn't shocking, thus making it a shocking ending.

 

Also, Sora failing the MoM exam wouldn't be a shocking ending, as the MoM exam is only part of the game. There's more after it.

I think the onley shocking ending that we could get is that eaither sora fails & riku passes the MoM exam, or they both somehow fail the exam but Nomura is a master at messing with our heads so who knows what he has planned for us, I just hope it'll get me even more exciting for KHIII.

No problem. I only went out of my way searching for this to do a good deed.

I seriously think that one of them will pass, but the other won't.

Why? Because that'd fit perfectly in the "Shocking End". But that's just my opinion.. Who knows if both of them fails in the exam? That'd the most shocking end lol.

yeah, like mabe the mysterios figure from KH1 comes back and finally reveals himself and dose something to riku but then again is it even possible for him to come back cause I asumed the figure was really ansem SOD and so far he supposedly gone. of corse theres always possibilty of him coming back (which eventually I think he will). but now that im thinking about it im startig to think the shocking ending could have something to do with MX and riku because when terra met riku the 1st time terra saw another person (which most likely was MX when he was younger) then he saw riku when he was older. also MX told terra in the "blank points" cutsene " however know this, you are just one of many roads that I might choose to take, trust me I made curtain of that" and MX could have possibly known about riku and use him as backup in case things dont go according to plan.
