i just bought heart gold bc i like the the starters and like the remakes then the new onses

and i cant decide on which starter i should get can any 1 help out ?

FIRE. Cyndaquil. Definitely. Fire starters always have powerful attacks. IMO anyway. =D

yea i might go with him because i looked at there stats and his total stats are higher then totodile and chicorita combine and its hard to come by good fire types

It seems Pokemon Black and White is the one game that people want to choose grass over fire. Dont know if its just cause grass (snake) looks better than fire (pig). Water just looks strange, imo. I think for once I'll go with grass. ...If i ever get the game.

same a snake does seem like a grass type

personally, i always choose the grass type starter, in every pokemon game.

i always choose water or fire depends on there stats with me

Normally, in my first time playing the game I choose Grass.

In the second time, Fire, and then Grass.

If you wanna play Hard Mode HGSS, choose Chikorita. If you want to speed play through this game, choose Cyndaquil.

ehh so many people chose Snivy in B/W. I chose Oshawott because its osm like that

If you haven't chosen yet in Heart Gold/Soul Silver, it all depends on your personal style:

Cyndaquil of course is a very strong attacker but as it levels up and evolves, its movepool isnt all that great. It certainly learns very few moves to use against types it is weak to.

Totodile is sort of all around... not a sweeper, but not a tank. It has the best movepool.

And Chikorita has pretty good options, kind of sad stats at first, but its last evolution has amazing defense and is hard to kill.

 

 

Personally I choose my starter over aesthetics. My first choice is always Charmander, Cyndaquil, Mudkip, Turtwig and Oshawott.

Totodile.

Chikorita, not because of any particular reason, but because it's so cute........don't judge me D:

 

But my starters are as follows; Charmander, Chikorita, Torchic, Piplup, Smugleaf (yes, Smugleaf, deal with it)

SMUGLEAF? NAH, MR.SMUG IS BETTER

The starters I chose the first time playing are:

Charmander (Leaf Green), Chikorita (Crystal), Mudkip(Emarald), Chimchar (Pearl) and Oshawott (White)

Actually I chose all three starters in all games besides Emarald...I really dislike Treeko because it keeps failing me orz

Mudkip or Torchic, depending on my mood

Chimchar

 

And I've only played BW once, so I don't know the advantages and disadvantages of Tepig and Snivy (Smugleaf). The only one I've got is Mijumaru. Yep, Mijumaru.
