REVIVED

I was in GameStop resolving a small problem of my GameStop.com account. As the guys of the register fixed up the problem I decided to look around for a while. I kneeled down to look at the old GMA cartridges inside the crystal incasing. My eyesight then stopped when I spotted a cartridge of the game Kingdom Hearts:Chain of Memories. I as a big fan I am now had a smile on my face. I had played the remake witch was Kingdom Hearts:RE:Chain of Memories, but never got a chance to actually play the original one. I thought for a good while and remembered that I still had my GBA back at home. I was going to sell it next weekend to a friend who collected electronics. But for a try at the game, I thought that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep the GBA for a little longer, at least until I passed this game. I looked at the price. It was at 10 $. A bit pricy for an old GBA game, but no less, I had to give it a try for fandom sake. When the guy came back I told him that I wanted to buy that game. He unlocked the crystal incasing and got it in a small DVD paper bag since he didn’t had the original box. I payed for the game and then went back home. As soon as I got home and went straight towards my room. I looked around and found my pink GBA. I sat down on the bed and then took the game cartridge out. I looked at it for a while and got it inside. I turned on my GBA and I started to play. It started out normally. But then the weirdest thing happened. When the music started to play ‘Dearly Beloved’, it didn’t really sounded like it. In fact, it was Dearly Beloved, but played backwards. I thought that maybe the previous owner had messed it up big time or maybe let it fall in water one time or two, witch would explain the music in backwards. But I also noticed something else. The cards that appeared behind Sora in the screen, instead of having all of the characters faces and so, they were black. They were simple grey cards. No faces no nothing. I then thought that this was getting to weird now. But none less, I pressed start. I then saw ‘New Game’. I pressed it and the game started. I was given a choice to choose from two files. But when I looked to the side, there was only Sora, not Donald or Goofy, like it’s supposed to be. But I ignored that fact and chose the first file. The game started with the normal cutscene. The cutscene went on, but when it got to the part where they showed Castle Oblivion, the screen had an intense red color. The edges were raspy and black. The cutscene went normally on with this effect. It weird me out, but I kept playing. The cutscene ended and I started to play. It started to play out normally. Like any other Chain of Memories game copy. Then the part where the figure in the hood came, the screen once more turned black with red edges as it showed the rest of the scene. While this, the sprites had changed, they had blood red color strikes all over them. The castle looked black and white. All of this combined. I tried to turn the game off, but it wouldn’t turn off. So I continued, my mind forgetting to take out the batteries. The scene went on, when the figure passed through Sora to gain some memories to make a card, blood red strikes appeared behind Sora then on the floor. Blood. Obviously. But this was not right nor normal. Then I just came to sense that the previous owner hacked it to make it have more effects in the gameplay. The scene went on, and so got to the part where you would get to learn how to fight for the game. The scene went on. Sora then asked where were Donald and Goofy. As expected, the figure said, ‘They’re at the mercy of the cards now.’. Then the game started to glitch in a weird way. The figure then stopped talking and then seemed to glitch as it dispersed and then regain posture, this is likely usually to happen to very old games. But it was only the figure, not the entire screen. Then the figure’s black cloak turned into a blood red. The talk bubble re-appeared. It said the next words.

‘… … If you want them back… you will need to give something of equal value in return… … …’

That wasn’t right. I knew that, and was now getting nervus. The figure then disappeared. Leaving a blood red puddle in its place where it once stood. Whoever hacked the game, hacked it pretty effing well. There was no fighting tutorial at all. Sora then walked to the door and the door opened. I had a whole bunch of options of cards. But what freaked me out was that there were no worlds, but words. I circled around and read all of the words. ‘Death’, ‘Kill’, ‘Gasp’, ‘R.I.P’, ‘Jane doe’, ‘Massacre’, ‘No one’. This sent shivers down my spine. I tried to turn off the game again, but no use. Again, I forgot all about the batteries. I randomly picked one of the cards. I picked ‘Gasp’. Since it was the one that creeped me out the least if possible. I picked the card and the screen went black, when it came back up. I was in Atlantica, the screen still red, the edges still black. I moved my Sora around. There was no music. It was dead silent. It made me feel more uncomfortable than how I already was. Then a bubble appeared and the word ‘AHHHHH!!!!’ appeared. Like a scream. Sora then went down and down. The screen went back. It came back up to show Ariel, and on the floor, a figure, just there, like nothing. I didn’t know what was going on. Ariel’s bubble appeared. ‘…’ I just stared as the scene went on. My Sora was covered in blood red strikes still. Ariel then turned to Sora.

‘… She just didn’t go back up…I tried to teach her to swim back up. But she just gave up and floated down…she took one last gasp and…gone.’

Ariel then returned her gaze to the body. I looked closer at the figure. The figure then started to clear up a bit in colors.

‘Her name was Molly.’

Ariel said. I then felt a strain in my heart as soon as I could tell out the figure as I saw Ariel’s bubble. It was a girl with long black hair and was wearing white shirt and pants. I only remembered that I had a smaller sister with that name. Molly. And like the figure, she had long black hair. I freaked. Because like there. Molly had drowned a year ago. But this is what scared me the most...how did a sprite that looked just like her ended up in a KH game? Then I saw my Sora get his keyblade and point it at the figure. The screen went black. Then a card appeared. It was Goofy card. Below it said

‘You have revived Goofy’

I just stared. The screen came back on giving me a choice to pick. I continued. I then picked ‘No one’. The screen went back and then back up again. I appeared in Hallow Bastion. Sora seemed darker. Then I started to walk around when I ended up in front of a house. I entered and found Aerith sitting there alone. She had red blood streaks over her, and on the walls as well. She looked at Sora.

‘Hey there Sora.’

Aerith says. She then looked back upfront.

‘Yuffie and Leon aren’t here right now.’

She says. Sora stood there as then I was given an option. One said ‘Cheer her up’, another ‘Kill her’. Obviously, I choose the one that said ‘Cheer her up’. Then Sora went over to her and talked with her. Even though, there was no bubble showed. Then out of nowhere Aerith stood up and a bubble appeared, it said,

‘AAARGHHHHH!!!!!!’

She was obviously screaming. Suddenly a really loud screeching sound started to play. Like a scream of horror of a beast or creature, but a tiny one. Then Aerith just…exploded. Blood went everywhere and even covered Sora. But he did nothing. Then Leon came in.

‘Aerith was had said that there was no one who understood her of how she really felt. I guess she meant by this.’

Leon says. Sora then got his keyblade and pointed it on the wall. The screen went black. Then a card appeared with the picture of Namine there. Below it said,

‘Namine has been revived.’

I stood there. I had no idea what the hell what was happening. I wanted to turn my game off. But it wouldn’t. WHY DIDN’T I REMEMBER THE BATTERIES?! Then I saw I was given an option to mix three cards to make one. Apparently it was demandatory since there was no ‘escape’ or no or ‘refuse’ ‘option’. So I choose the random options, ‘Jane doe’, ‘Massacre’, and ‘Death’. The three cards mixed up and created a new card and a new word. ‘Knock’. I stared as this card then took me back into Castle Oblivion. It was the scene where I had to fight against Axel. Axel seemed different too. He was covered all blood red. And he had no eyes…they were just black holes there. No mouth either, just a black hole there too…it scared the hell out of me, yet, I have no idea why, I kept playing. I was then given an option, but only one.

‘Knock knock knock’

I with no choice, pressed it. Then a screeching voice came on again, but even scarier, more realistic, more horrifying. Then in a bubble the words

‘AAARHHHH!!!!!!’

Appeared. It was from Axel. Then he said.

‘DON’T DO THAT!STOP!’

I was given an option again, the same and only one. I chose it again. Axel screamed again. The noise came on again and then stopped.

‘PLEASE!!!!!STOP IT!!!!!FOR THE LOVE OF GOD,STOP!!!!!!’

Axel said. I was given the same option…I chose it. The noise appeared again, more horrifying yet. Then the screen went black. When it came back up, Axel was in pieces on the floor, blood everywhere. Sora pointed his keyblade. Everything went black. Then three cards came up. One of Jiminy Cricket. Below it said.

‘Jiminy Cricket has been revived.’

Then one of Donald came. Below it said.

‘Donald has been revived.’

Then one of Mickey appeared. Below it said.

‘Mickey has been revived.’

The screen then appeared with my two last cards, ‘R.I.P’ and ‘Kill’. I had the demanded option to unite them and make one. And so I did. A new card was created, and a new word. Even though it wasn’t even a word, It said,

‘…’

That’s it. I chose it and then the screen went black. It came back up. I was at the castle once more. But there was something messed up. The castle had blood all over. Then Sora started to walk upfront and saw two familiar figures, Kairi and Riku. But there was something up. They were in half. And in half as in that Riku had his entire left part of his body intact, and the rest…wasn’t there. The same was for Kairi, only that with her right side of the body. They were both covered in blood. Then Sora turned. To show he also didn’t had mouth or eyes, just holes. His talk bubble said nothing. Just,

‘…’

Sora turned to them. I was given an option.

‘…’

I stared and stared, and eventually chose, when I did. Another scream was heard. The most horrifying yet that I had heard so far. More than a Banshee I believe. It was from Sora. Then the screen suddenly went red. The image faded back in to show blood where once Kairi and Riku stood. Sora then pointed his keyblade and then everything went black. Two cards appeared. Kairi’s. Below it it said,

‘Kairi has been revived.’

Then Riku’s. Below it it said,

‘Riku has been revived.’

Then everything turned black, pure silence. Then Sora appeared, bloody, with only round holes replacing eyes and mouth. Above him all of the words I was showed in the cards from the beginning. ‘Death’, ‘No one’, ‘Massacre’, ‘R.I.P.’, ‘Kill’, ‘Gasp’, and ‘Jane doe’. They then disappeared only leaving their first letters. The letters then stood in a specific order, one more further or closer than the other one. Then this appeared above Sora.

‘…Thank You…’

Then this along with the letters.

‘…DaNiela MaRie KeidGe Jeraldino…’

I stood in shock and freaked. That was my name…MY EFFIN NAME!HOW THE HELL DID THIS ING KNEW MY NAME?! I stood in shock and actually trembled. Then everything went back again. One last sentence came by.

‘…Sora has been revived.’

Then the GBA turned off as the batteries ranned out of juice. I stood there and stared at the screen. As I swear I saw Sora’s hollow and bloody face on the screen’s reflection, as if he were behind me, I screamed and turned and threw the GBA to the wall behind me as I fell down on the floor. The GMA hit the wall and then fell back on my bed. I shook and too the GBA and locked it in a box with lock and key and got it away in the hallway’s living room. This changed my way of seeing life. And the face of that Sora, will never go away of my memory. Now it’s stuck there forever. Bloody, holes for eyes and mouth…this I will never forget. There it has been staying for years, in that closet. I have moved from house and the game was left there. I don’t know if someone has found it or not. But I warn anyone and everyone. That game was like gate to hell for my soul. I will never see life the same again. And whenever I look at a mirror, or at a crystal, or even a window…I see his face, staring back, waiting for me to join him, so he can revive me as well.

I only got goosebumps at the part you said you saw him on the reflection, but other then that, not so scary.

And wtf is creppy pasta? sounds like Crappy pasta. which would make me sick, lol

JOKE

Meh...almost exactly the same as every other video game creepypasta I've read. It was pretty good anyways though.

I kept looking over my shoulder the whole time lol

Pretty good, I liked it, When you said you left it at your old house locked up in that box, I was wondering why? I'd kepe it and show square enix the gate to hell from soras view :3
