To Explain the ice cream question, you have to remember that all three of them(Roxas, Xion, Axel) had ice cream every chance they had. It was a symbol of their friendship and with Xion gone, Roxas feels that those moments were key to their relationship

And another thing, too, is that they didn't have hearts. They used the ice cream to demonstrate their emotions towards each other, because they didn't have real emotions to work with. (of course, it certainly didn't feel that way when you see how good of friends they were.)

After KH3D came out, I have to wonder if this point, the one that because they supposedly didn't have hearts, was ever the one that the script writer had when he wrote it

When i finished off Xion, and this scene came on, i started to cry, but no tears would fall.
