Hey, so for all you people who aren't like me and who didn't get a 3DS right after it was out---Nintendo is dropping the price of the 3DS from $250 to $170 starting August 12th this year. Now it's much cheaper to play KH3D when it comes out! Right?

 

For all of you people who were like me and who did get the 3DS at the high price of $250, Nintendo is offering us a little compensation. 20 free downloadable games (NES, GBA) from the Nintendo e-Shop. Um, I forget all the details, but here's the link:

I knew this would happen. I hope nintendo learns a lesson from this. They need to be less cocky when it comes to there releases.

I'm still kind of bummed, despite the fact that for me if I got 20 games, that'd be approximately $125 worth ($6 games + tax). I'm not sure I even want 20 games. Maybe 5 of them? But...bleh. Kinda wish I'd waited. At least it'll be easier to get a Flare Red 3DS if it's ever out in NA (I love that color).

i'm happy they did this i knew price cut was going to happen before ps vita came out.I might up get one when some good games(that arn't remakes) come out.This should be in enterainment.

Is it going to be on there? SWEET! Anyway, i'm still going to wait until KH3D comes out. I missed my chance to get the bundle for bbs cause I bought a psp the DAY BEFORE they announced it. ohhhhh I was so mad!

Don't go expecting another price drop after such a huge one. Nintendo products rarely go down in price.

 

Just so people know, you're getting a better deal if you buy a 3DS now, the price cut is 80 dollars, but the free games are valued at 125 dollars.

Yea i know and it just a guess what might happen cuz i think kh3d still has some time before we see a release and i dont have the money to pay $250 or even $170 right now.

Before people get super excited about the 20 free games for past and current 3DS owners, I'd point out that Chain of Memories GBA is not available for download as of now, and I doubt that it will be. A lot of the popular available games are by Nintendo I think (Legend of Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Donkey Kong, etc.). And I'm not even sure if the 20 downloads means you get to pick ANY 20. A lot of it seems to be specific games will be free by the look of the weblink, but I'm not sure. I might as well get them though, considering the $125 worth, like hatok said.

I haven't played the original OoT, but I do have the 3D one and I think it's pretty good. A lot of people I know who've played the original love the 3DS version. Also, remember KH3D will be out at some point, and lots of other good games are coming soon. I'm excited for Animal Crossing 3DS. ^^ So cutesy and fun. I also have Nintendogs + Cats, and I like it way more than the original (I was obsessed with the original Nintendogs btw, my friends thought I was nuts when it came to my virtual puppies). And I'll probably get Cooking Mama 4 for good measure considering I always find those games addictive.

 

The one disappointing thing about playing my 3DS is that I can't play Days or Re:coded for very long (longer than 20-30 mins) without my fingers hurting a lot. ;_; The buttons didn't respond so quickly with commands and shortcuts in those games. >< I've heard the Flare Red 3DS has clickier buttons though, it'd be nice if they worked better with KH games like that.

Nooo no no no. Of COURSE I'm using the circle pad. I'm talking about ABXY. The buttons require more pressure than DS Lite buttons (what I always played on before). Mushy buttons are way better for KH with the fast and repetitive pressing. So when I'm used to fluid playing with PS2, PSP, or DS Lite buttons, 3DS buttons hurt my fingers/hands. x_x

August 12th?! That's the exact same day I was planning on buying my 3DS! Ahh, I'm so happy. Now I can use the extra money I have saved to buy some clothes for school ^^

20...FREE...GAMES!?!?!!! Heck yes, I didn't regret my decision to buy the 3DS at launch before, but now I am so glad. And most of the games mentioned on the website sound good, so I am really freaking happy. This is awesome.

i knew this was going to happen too i just hope it stays 170 dollars and if it doesnt they dont raise the price to much like make cost 190 dollars or something sony might end up doing the same because over 200 is too much for a handheld even if ps vita has better features than nintendo 3ds 250 300 dollars is too much they might wanna pay attention here

Thankfully this happened and I didn't get the 3DS yet. I was hoping this would happened in the near time future. I knew that my instincts were right when I spent my money on Infamous rather than a 3DS!
