That's why I am waiting! The new DS handheld every year thing was killing me! So i'm not going to buy one until KH3D comes out.

Or you could wait because when the new models come in the older ones get cheaper. Still a reason to wait.

If everybody did that, Nintendo would have no money to actually make these new models. Besides, Nintendo is facing massive financial troubles right now, they're more focused on actually selling the 3DS at all, not getting a new version out.

So basically, because so many people like you waited to get he 3DS, Nintendo doesn't have the money to make a new one.

I for one am getting a DSi at the end of the year, as my DS lite is old. But I have thought of buying a 3DS. But not till other models have been released.

I really don't care about the 3DS.

My cousin's the one who's gonna buy it when KH3D comes out, so I'll stick around with my Dsi.

I'm with my ds lite, but i need to get a new one soon...my battery is starting to die on me and i might need to buy a new battery and i cant cause you gotta pay with credit card and i dont have one T. T

I'm buying the 3DS, I could care less about battery life since I don't even play games outside anymore. Cheaper the better.

Actually, Mr. Miamoto has announced that there won't be new models of the 3ds. Just new colors.

Don't forget red lol

I want red.... *_______*

I want rainbow... thats not happening lol. Since I am a Mario fan I am going to get it for Christmas. Dont forget Luigis Mansion 2.

Look, technology keeps advancing faster and faster. At the current rate, in maybe 50 years, nintendo could release a new system every day.

Point is, if you keep holding off a purchase because you are worried the next thing will come out as soon as you buy it, then you could theoretically be waiting for ever. Just buy whatever you like and be happy with your purchase. Get a replacement a few years from now.

i thought there was a orange one :(

YUS BLACK!

If anything, the next 3DS will be a 3DS XL, as the current 3DS is already the size of a DSLite, and they used all their size reduction tricks they learned from making the DSLite. To be honest, any smaller would be uncomfortable.

Besides that, what Hatok said is true. I doubt they are going to waste money making a new 3DS when they are still trying to get the old one to sell. And people with this exact mindset is one reason the 3DS is not selling as well as it could (and it is partially Nintendo's fault). Also, going by this theory, why buy an iPod (or other Apple devices) when a new version is going to come out next year? In fact, why buy any technological device, when a better version is almost sure to come out.

If there are games coming out soon that you want, then get the system. If there is truly no game you want other than KH3D, wait.

some one like this please and i want yellow because yellow is on my mind right now

I pretty much agree with Fred. Its like waiting for new iphones and new computer parts every year. I'm still enjoying my original NDS and PSP so no problem there. Just make sure I get to play the games I want and I'm happy.
