Does it count to have COM(the GBA)as part of the KH series.Does it matter?

every game in the franchise matters, that's what i love about the kh series. if you havent looked into it i highly suggest you either watch it on youtube or read the manga online.

CoM is THE most important non-numbered game in the franchise. Every other game revolves around it.

No, generally speaking, you do not need the GBA CoM if you have the PS2 re:CoM as it is the same game with better graphics.

 

If, however, you are stuck in any other country besides Japan and the U.S. where re:CoM was not released and you don't have a modded PS2 to play a disk from another region: Yeah, you should consider playing the old GBA version.

I just read the manga I own both the versions but I just don't do well with the card system so I haven't beaten them. I should try again this winter holiday, though...

Did you play KH2 and ask yourself who is DiZ and why was Sora sleeping in the pod?

Kingdom Hearts CoM is a spin off so It doesn't really matter but if you don't understand something in the series then you might find out from it or other spin offs.

 

Kingdom Hearts 2 covers up CoM a bit but later games may not,,,,
