Analyzing some details (Stuff you might have missed)

Posted

Just going to take some time to note a few details people may have missed in the exctiement of the news flood.

1- Riku has the Way to Dawn, not Soul Eater.

Remember, Riku used Soul Eater before, this change may have some implications, as Way to Dawn is a keyblade, while Soul Eater is not

2- Sora and Riku's clothes are mixes of their KH1 and 2 outfits

I'm sure EVERYBODY has noticed this, but has anybody thought about the why? Nomura said Sora and Riku's KH1 appearances in the original version of DDD were vital to the plot, and obviously the reversion plot point hasn't been removed, but the fact that some KH2 details are preserved heavily increases the chance that some sort of transformation has occurred. Now, think waaay back. Nomura once said in an interview that it's difficult to think of reasons to have the characters in a new KH game start at level 1. Here's your reason. In fact, it's probably also the reason Sora will be level 1 in KH3.

3- The old death sound effect is back

I figured that the new death sound effect used inDays, Coded and BBS was simply a stylisitic change, that somebody at Square simply thought the sound effect was cooler. Now it seems to have some sort of special implication about Sora and Riku, since this sound effect has been present only in games where you control their true selves.

4- Riku can used blade beam

Shades of Terra anyone?

So yeah, there's some stuff I gleaned from what little info we have, have YOU noticed anything?

I never really noticed that. owO!

"4- Riku can used blade beam. Shades of Terra anyone?"

Yes! <3

And mention that Dream Eater symbol on Riku's back, why would he have it, and does that mean Sora has one?

Well,

-The creatures that accompany Sora and Riku bare the less jaggedy emblem that are on the Dream Eaters. Remember how on kh3d's site their were two emblems that were almost identical?

-On Riku's back their is once again the less jaggedy version of the emblem.

Hmm I wouldn't like to have sora and riku back to level one just because it's a new game. I'd prefer if old skills stay, become outdated and add new, bigger ones. They're already jumping off walls, why the hell not?

I'm already even making things up in my head. There could even be fighting styles you could change from in kh 3. One from kh another from kh 2 and another from kh 3ds. All evolving little by little, showing how they grow more and more.

I man level 1 literally, as in, you need to level your character up to 100 again, not like power level.

It's kind of silly to start your characters off at level 100 at the start of the game, isn't it? :P

-Take away the blue from Sora's pants and his clothes are the same color as Vanitas

-Sora has an X on his chest

-Vanitas colors and X on his chest. Coincidence?

Perhaps the Riku in this scenario is a Dream Eater himself? Of course, it could just be a clothing tic, like the heartless, Nobody, and Land of Departure symbols have been in the past.

Haven't seen one myself, but that could be a theme, maybe these clothes are directly dream eater related?

-Make he red pink and Sora has the same colour scheme as Aqua.

- As much as it pains me to say it, this could have some imlication to flashbacks to Vanitas, the same way there's a flashback to Xeanort in the trailer.

One thing I'm confused about.......are these pets of theirs Dream Eaters? I'm really confused about what they are exactly, and if they are, does that mean these things can pick a side? o__O

Another things I noticed :

5- The Drop option that replaced Drive and focus have been removed on the gameplay .

6-This game is turning into Digimon , I am sure it's not Nomura hands that made these creatures and the dream eaters .

7- Is it only me or is the Way to Down keyblade looks more thinner than the kh2 one O.o ? .

8-I think Nomura regrets that he has made kh2 clothes and he want them to be young all the time .

I completely agree with you on 8, Sora looks so much younger than his kh2 version.

Nomura said there was an important plot point that has Sora and Riku revert to their KH1 forms. It's not an arbitrary change.

What's the death sound effect???

The sound byte that plays when you die.

So, something I forgot to mention in my rist post. The sources so far are saying eahc part ofthe demo takes about 20 minutes to beat. Consider that this is the average time it takes to beat a level in KH1 or 2, now add the fact that these clearly aren't the entire level.

Longest levels in KH to date?

What? It took way longer than that to complete a world in those games.

It did? I weighed in at about 20 minutes each. Granted, KH2 had multiple world visits, so I ended up more in the vicinity of 40-60 minutes.
