You're smarter than this. Ansem is talking about when he tried to turn KH into data. That's when he last met Sora. If the time difference is an actual fact between the realm of Dark and Light, I would feel a little disturbed if every few steps I took in the realm of darkness was equal to a year in the realm of light. i would feel like I've made no progress.
