He is in my opinion an awful protaganist.

Hey, it's a nice change of pace to have a positive protagonist in a Square Enix game.

Sora and Naruto Similarites:

Both Emo Protaginists, cry a lot

Both go on a homo quest to find their best friend and only talk about them all the time, begging for them and even getting stronger to get them back

When finally finding their best friend they find out he has gone to the darkness and end up slipping on the floor crying as if they aren't 15 to 17 year olds

Honestly, I'm not sure if it saddens me, or frustrates me that games with happy protagonists always seems to be full of people who hate said character, hoping that the game shifts its focus to its manic depressant anti-hero, so we can watch them lie in bed all day and recite poetry.

I also hate it when people call Sora a Mary Sue, considering he's a videogame character, so it's basically a requirement.

So you wouldn't be sad if your best friend became a terrorist?

Besides, Sora isn't emo, I thought that was pretty damn obvious from the begining. If you want to complain about an emo protagonist, go to some Final Fantasy forum.

LOL I think we can compare Sora's journey for Riku in Kingdom Hearts 2 to Naruto's journey for Sasuke in Naruto Shippuden. Get what I'm saiyan?

Most kh characters arn't very good. I agree Sora,Roxas,Xion,Ven,Terra,Riku in everything that's not kh1 are not goos characters and i'm being seriuos by the way.

Maybe in American culture. But in a lot of other cultures, it's perfectly acceptable for boys and men to express their true emotions for friends whom they are not romantically involved with.
