Is it true that Square Enix is making an HD remake of KH1 and KH2 for the ps3

Posted

If its true what system would you guys like to be on, I would really prefer for it to be on the ps3 because Kh 1 & 2 looked marvelous on the ps2 and would look even better on the ps3. What do you guys think?

Just rumours, but I do hope it's true. My cousin has two boys that are the perfect age to be introduced to KH, and they have a PS3. So if the HD collection can come out within a year, I know the perfect birthday present for one of them!

kh on ps3 graphics would be so epic! I mean, the quality's already amazing, just think where it could go!

I'm totally not biased with the fact that my ps2 broke and my ps3 doesn't play ps2 games and I'm dying from kh withdrawls and play Days and Re:Coded like mad to compensate...STOP STARING AT ME!!!
IF they did, it would just be an HD Collection. They wouldn't properly remake it like Re:CoM.

It has been mentioned in an interview that they have thought about it, and another that if they were to do it, it would be a while before they can work on it. I'd look for the sources, but I'm lazy :P

Basically, lots of people have been doing remakes, so people started saying that it would be cool if there were KH remakes. Now people act like it's confirmed.

I still consider it to be nothing but a rumour. But the idea is still pretty cool.

Square Enix already confirmed a Final Fantasy X HD remake back in september for the PS3 and the PS Vita

That's nice and all (well not really, a remake of any games earlier than X would've been better), but that has nothing to do with them doing the same thing for a KH game.

I think people hear that a game creator wants to do something and then they automatically think its happening.

I'd like the Kingdom Hearts HD collection to be for the PS3 and the Wii"U". :) (*I don't know if Xbox has an audience for KH since FPS are most popular on the system*)

I'd love to play the console games as a launch title despite how old the games are.

tutti frutti. As awesome as it would be to see something like that happen, I'm not holding my breath for it. At this point in my video game career, I usually apply "seeing is believing" for SE. Sure I would like the HD version of KH1 and KH2, but what are the odds that SE is going to follow through with it. Though IF they do, I would want the Final Mix versions of the games to help tide us over for KH3D and KH3 in NA.

Only games AFTER X can be HDed. Every game before that would require a complete remake, as they are 2D.

I didn't say anything about HDing any games lol. All I said was that a remake of a game before X would've been better IMO, that's all.

It's not true, but there was a poll back in July and fans wanted a HD remake. Square knows we want it, it all depends on if they'll do it.

They know we want Final Mixes and the like as well, but that hasn't stopped them from ignoring that.

That's the thing. The FFX 'remake' is just an HD filter. It's not a proper remake in the slightest, and as sch is easy to remake. Anything before FFX is 2D, and as such would require a complete remake to do ANYTHING at all.

Hence the part where I said....."it all depends on if they'll do it."

I hope it's true.

I also hope that they would add all of the Final Mix content for both games into it dubbed in English.

That's rather disappointing to hear... imo FF X doesn't really need an HD filter. But that's just my opinion I guess :P.

It hasn't been confirmed, but it's a safe bet there'll be trophies and that North Americans will get the Japan/Europe only content like the Dark Espers...
