doesn't have to be a dark anime .. there's a lot of screwed up stuff out there. mine is school days, i watched it and it started off as a romantic comedy and slowly drowned itself in a depressing drama which caused all the characters i grew to enjoy .. to brutally kill each other after so many episodes from a text message that said

I was talkin about the manga. As far as I know the anime isn't at the Catastrophe episodes. The Catastrophe chapters are the ones where the manga gets REALLY firetrucked up.

No I love it... just at like 3/4 of the manga Gantz stops to work and all players are released. Then Nishi states that none of the players has a clue of what will happen in near future.... "Catastrophe" And the following chapters are the "Catastrophe"-Chapters =)

yea but higurashi had them all killed within 3 episode arcs, schooldays you actually got a connection with the characters after a full season and they just slaughter eachother .. and the boat is just disturbing ... nice boat
