Originally, the next big 3DS system update was supposed to be coming on Thursday. However, after trying a system update, I am pleased to announce that it is working, the update is two days early!

 

Update: So far I have noticed:

-The eshop hasn't changed too much, but hopefully we will get demos soon!

-There is a new "Nintendo zone" app. I think that this was previously only available at BestBuy. However, it does not work for me, so I think it may only function at BestBuy locations or other stores.

-A video camera has been added to the camera. The normal video camera can shoot normally and in low light, and there are three special shooting modes called interval, stop motion and montage. I have yet to try any of the video camera modes.

-The friends list looks a little bit different. The most notable addition is a "join game" button that appears above your friends.

-The Streetpass Mii Plaza has been updated. There are really too many new things here to list!

Some say that the eShop is the same, but mine is still going under maintenance.

 

By the way, I think they decided to release the update today in order we can get the demos (one of the new features) within the Thursday eShop content update.

Square Enix wont release a GBA game through the Ambassador Program. These are just going to be classic Nintendo games like Mario.

The way you write that, it sounds strange, the reason Square Enix won't release a game is because these are games Nintendo is giving away for free, and they can only give away their own games for free at a minimal loss, anybody else they would have to pay for the rights first.

I'm assuming that's more or less what you meant.

 

About the eShop, that's undergoing maintenance as part of the update. It'll probably be up and running this Thursday, like they update was planned.

That's one way to put it.

Yup, I updated last night. One cool feature they added to StreetPass is that people who you play online will start to appear in it after you accept SpotPass updates for it. At least, I have read that. I have only heard it confirmed for Mario Kart 7 multiplayer though. They also added new puzzle pieces and Find Mii II.

Now I can finally get to finishing my puzzles. I already completed New Super Mario Bros...now it's time to complete Bowser and Metroid.
