  • For fanservice   I have no idea why he's back, but since he is.....WHERE'S ISA!? I hated Saix, but Isa was cool! D'8

  • Because obviously his Heartless must've been destroyed by Sora.

Roxas, probably. He had really strong bonds with him and another reason could be because of the Riku Replica-I think that was him, wasn't it? THe only thing I don't understand was that I thought the replica died. Maybe it'll connect somehow through him.

i dont know but im not complaining though and i agree with the 'lea comes back because his heartless and nobody were destroyed' thing.

about roxas, there's no way he'd come back like the redhead because his somebody is sora and he's already alive so.....axel's just coming back as lea

Well since Roxas is a part of Sora couldnt he try to manifest himself in the realm of sleep? Some stuff happens andmaybe he comes back? Couldnt they put roxas' memories in a replica? o.O

i rlly dont see how axel is being forced into games except for DDD for now. we'll have to see how that plays out.

Personally, I hope they don't bring Roxas back because he served his part, and what alot of you don't seem to understand is that if they ever do have Roxas come back, he won't be the same. Roxas was who he was because of Ven's heart, which he had. Once Sora gives Ven's heart back, Roxas won't be able to have it again. So if he does come back, he won't have a heart, won't look like Ven, won't have any emotions at all, and will have a different personality. He would be a true Nobody, like Saix and the others. Ven's heart is what gave him his appearance, personality, and emotions. Without it he wouldn't be Roxas. Besides, with Ven we don't really need Roxas anymore.

why axel is coming back?probanly fan service but its ok with me ,even though i am not a big fan of axel i liked how cool he was at castle oblivion in chain of memories, and his fight with roxas in kh2 is quite memorable

First and foremost Axel is returning purely because of his fanbase. But that aside. If you remember, Axel was originally a Dusk, the weakest form of a Nobody. Xemnas gave him a human form. Now while a nobody is only formed by someone with an exceptionally strong heart, there is a good chance that Lea's heartless was simply an unnamed shadow in Sora's way or part of Riku's offscreen adventures.

The alternative is that Lea is just a dream formed to confront Sora as part of his exam he has to relive his past failures. Of course Sora never knew his name was Lea so this is somewhat less likely.

For those of you discussing Roxas. I do not think we will ever see him in a physical form again. There is a good chance he may appear once or twice in an ethereal form like he did at the end of KH2 when Sora and Kairi met up and rejoined with their Nobodies. Roxas will likely have a short cutscene in Castle Oblivion when they find Ventus. Roxas will return to Ventus giving the boy back his heart. But beyond one or two cameo's that may be all we ever see of Roxas again.

There is no proof that Axel was ever a Dusk. Axel only stated in KH2 that he was afraid Xemnas would turn him into a Dusk for failing to bring Roxas back, not that he ever was one. I doubt Xemnas had the ability to change a Nobodies form, or he would have done so to either the thousands of dusks, making them strong Organization members, or by turning the traitors into Dusks instead of having them destroyed. He may have threatened to turn them into Dusks, but I doubt he actually had that power, otherwise he would have used it.

As for Lea being in the dreams, I doubt that too. Because the scenes he's in are in Radient Garden with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Maleficent, Pete, Aeleus (sp) and Ienzo. So it can't be in the Dream World, as far as we know, Sora and Riku don't go to Radient Garden while in the Dream World. Also, as you said, he didn't know him as Lea, nor did he know Aeleus or Ienzo. He didn't even meet their Nobody forms, as the Absent Silouettes in FM+ aren't considered canon.

If you remember, it was never stated that Axel was originally a dusk, and that Xemnas gave him a human form, as that would contradict only nobodies with strong hearts in human form that Xemnas found were part of the Org. Also, if Lea is just a dream form, then Mickey, Maleficent, etc. being in Disney Castle was also a dream since Lea helped them.

Mickey and co. weren't in Radiant Garden.

Possibly, but not necessarily. When we saw Ienzo and Aelus, neither had on an Organization cloak, suggesting they had lost the ability to control darkness. We don't actually know how Lea became Axel, the majority of the theories were that he lost his heart during Maleficent's take over of Radiant Garden, but it's possible he lost his heart due to practising in darkness to become stronger. As for his chakrams, they're a weapon, being able to summon them isn't a particularly surprising ability. Of course, he's lost his fire abilities, because he's a Somebody. But really, I think he has all his memories from being Axel.

Maybe he retained his memories of being Axel because he was not turned into a nobody the same way the other Org 13 members were? I mean he did seem to show the most emotion out of all of them, and not to mention he was not actually defeated by the Keyblade like the rest of them were, he killed himself so maybe that might have a connection to it.

Lea is coming back probably to explain what happened with Xehanort back when he was apprentice and to explain a little about how the organization became nobodies, because all we know is they became nobodies we dont know what made then that way, maybe it was because of Xehanort. (well of course)

Mickey and co. weren't in Radiant Garden.

Sorry, I got that part of Disney castle confused with the library of Radient Garden.

Fan service.

Axel/Lea is a character that ultimately should have had a minor role in the series, but the fans love for him has caused him to become a prominent figure. Personally, I think it's dumb, he really doesn't fit and mesh well with the other protagonists and his involvement in the games after Kingdom Hearts 2 feels forced.

Are you kidding me? He's a natural and a great character, and who said he was a protagonist? So you fight him a few times, but really he's on no side but his own. It doesn't feel forced, it feels right. He is a KH character and he's good at it.

I never said he was a bad character, he just has absolutely no business being involved in Dream Drop distance. His story ended fine in Kh2, sure he faded away, but not everyone should have a happy ending. He Joined Org 13 and did terrible things only to redeem himself before departing. That was a good ending for him.

Having him suddenly appear again and be the for front of affairs in DDD is to me, lazy writing. It cheapens everything he's done and totally negates the feeling of depth his sacrifice had in KH2. It just feels like he's become a stale character that's being forced into relevance to keep his fans happy.

What did you expect when Nomura said there are no deaths in KH?

Eraqus is more or less dead. Also Larxene, Luxord, Demyx, Marluxia.

nuh uh i'm excited to see how they pull it together cause the way he died was lame. The Organization was some of the best characters and i don't like that they all had to die. I think killing them all off was a bad mistake (anybody else think this?) but we couldn't keep them as nobodies, they had to die. So to me it seems planned that these great characters would come back. Axel helped Sora out, he deserves to live again and not make the same mistakes he did. I agree I didn't really think of him as anyone in KHCOM he was just another nobody like all the others to me. But once they elaborated on his character I now hold him highly as a character important to the series (sorta like puss in boots from Shrek, He's an important and interesting character even though he wasn't there from the begining) but that's off topic heh....

Exactly my point, building up his character and then having him sacrifice himself made for some great emotional impact on the player. And I strongly disagree with bringing back all the organization members. I find it really hard to care for characters if I know they're immune to any misfortune that comes their way. Character x dies. Character x come backs to life! Character x dies, but oh wait, he's back again!! it's boring.

Personally, if at the end of this series every character is sitting on destiny islands holding hands I'll smash my television.

Eraqus is in Terra. Larxene, Luxord, Demyx, and Marluxia disappeared.

Years ago. lol

Disappeared and faded away are Kingdom Hearts version of death. At least until Lea and his merry followers crawled out of their holes and into DDD

Lol see we're different. That's EXACTLY what i wanna see xD I like happy mushy endings, but I do hope there's a little bit of drama, something that didn't exactly end how i wanted cause you're right it would be boring. I wouldn't smash my TV though, that's like bad luck to me. and if everything was alright then what more to the story would there be? I don't believe a story should ever end cause real life isn't like that, and then what would i geek out about then? If this story ends some part of me will seriously die. call me pathetic but this game is my life.

I don't mind Mushy endings, I just feel if a character is written out they should stay written out unless a major believable plot event occurs that could justify their return. My favorite Character in the Series is Xion, and I would absolutely hate to see her be revived or some other crap a few games down the line. Her role and purpose was to aid in Sora's recovery, having her brought back just for the sake of being there would invalidate and cheapen the sacrifices she made. At the most, she should remembered by the protagonists, as that's all she really wanted.

Too me, the same rules apply for Roxas, Axel and even Terra.

Also I don't think you're pathetic, lots of people hold video games dear to their heart :)

Haha thx for thinking so. and you like Xion? that's a surprise, out of all of them i didn't think you would. I think she's awesome, I even cut and dyed my hair like her's (obsession, much?) but it sounds like she probably will come back in DDD i'll be surprised if not. yeah i don't think i actually want her to come back even though she's my favorite, but some sort of little scene with her again or something would be nice. but it would be awesome if they redid Days cause their faces looked like an emotionless mask, the talk sprites didn't really show enough emotion, and i had to try to understand each character solely by the text. kind of made an interesting part of the story hard to follow.
