The Official Legend Of Zelda Timeline

Posted

After 20 years of scratching our heads figuring out the timeline and also speculating it. It is now being released officially by Nintendo themselves via the new Legend Of Zelda "Hyrule Historia" art Book. Inserting spoiler if you don't want to know the timeline and want to figure it out yourself.

Finally a timeline. i was playing skyward sword at my friends house and we were both wondering about the timeline.

Im confused about the two four swords

cool zelda timeline

That timeline was just made to please the fans.

There was no logically planned timeline from the beginning and now they tried to make a plausible one by splitting the timeline in different scenarios.

TLOZ has no completely planned timeline and I don't get why Zelda-Fans obsess so much about it.

and people say kingdom hearts timeline is difficult to follow but look at zelda ,people love the games even though the story and the timeline is confusing

Shigeru Miyamoto and his team are sitting around a big table... "So we have no logical timeline in our games and frankly it's not relevant....but how can we make a more or less plausible timeline out of all LoZ games so that those obsessive Zelda-nerds finally STFU?" ..... "I KNOW!... We simply split the timeline into different scenarios to create parallel timelines with a few changes in the story.... GENIUS!"

I've only ever played OoT3D (still not very far in :P), but this is fascinating to look at. As well as nonsensical. xD I guess LoZ is like Indiana Jones?

I saw something like this on crunchyroll a few weeks ago. I think it's pretty cool how it splits off.

There Four Swords on Dsi,3DS and GBA(with the remake of a Link to the past) and there Four Sword Adventure for the Gamecube which is a complete different game.

It makes perfect sense if you think of it this way:

It actually does make sense, the first part of the timeline at least, because Skylofters were in Minish Cap http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.png

It took me a while to release that. Plus, there are a couple of references from Majora's Mask in Twilight Princess, like the fused Shadow mask resembling Majora's Mask, and Skull Kid appearing.

you sir, are very smart. being a big zelda fan, i never understood the obsession either. zelda games are about game play, deal with it.
