Esmeralda was voiced by Demi Moore in the 1997 Disney movie "The Hunchback of Nothre Dame"

Considering her recent status (divorce, emotional instability, seizures), do you think she will return to voice Esmeralda?

I believe they should make someone take her spot, but if she wants to do it then sure. The reason why someone else take her spot is because she suffered through a lot. She has emotion instability and seizures...which is going to make it hard for her to do this. Let her calm down and bring herself back together, if she cant in time of the game, then replace her with someone just as good or better.

Clearly there are reasons for her to be replaced. I don't mind.

(Just wanted to note that Disney does all of the voice hiring, if I'm not mistaken :D)

Anyways, I think that if she is capable and willing, she should do it. If not, it's fine for a replacement. :3

I don't know. I couldn't really imagine someone else voicing Esmeralda. Still, Demi Moore shouldn't be forced to if she couldn't. We'll have to wait and see.

I really don't care. I never saw the movie, so no matter who voices her, it's not gonna make a difference to me. I guess it would be good if her original VA could return though.

I would prefer Demi Moore return for the same reasons that I prefer getting the original voice actors (when possible) back for all the Disney characters: it's simply how I know the character, and am familiar with them. You instantly associate the image with a certain sound, and when that sound is changed, the whole package seems off. Sean Astin's attemnpt at doing Hercules in KH1 was incredibly jarring, as opposed to having Tate Donavan back in KH2, which made a world of difference in relating with the Hercules character, because, well, he not only looks like the Hercules I remember, but sounds like him too.

So yes, I would prefer Demi Moore playing Esmerelda.

If she can do it, by all means let her.

If not, I will allow someone else to take the role.

Let her? You know they have to pay her, right?

They'll probably get Jim Cummings to do it.

Nice joke. :P

Get someone else to do it, especially with the conditions she's in and put in the fact that she's a celebirty. Tom Hulce and Kevin Kline and maybe the gargoyles would have to be replaced too. There are voice actors that have the same voice type as them so I'm sure they can find a suitable replacement.

Nice joke. :P

I'm sure he could do it.

Obviously. Just saying.
