Well, well, look like Microsoft is once again copying off of Nintendo. How pitiful. Because Microsoft is now hard at work making a Wii U like controller. Yup, seems like something M$ would do. I think we can all expect this to fail just like what they did with Kinect lol. Microsoft just can't come up with their own stuff can they? What's next M$, you going to make a handheld that's a rip-off of the Nintendo DS?

I just love how Microsoft is trying to be like Nintendo. it's just so pitiful lol. I mean just look at the Kinect, they are trying so hard to be Nintendo right now with those kiddy games but they are failing at it rofl. This reminds me of when they tried to copy off of the GameCube controller.

All companies copy off the smart ones. Sony will probally be next to do something similar to Nintendo. At the end of the day it's all about competition and we as consumers win because we have more options

If Sony copies that function I'll never buy a PS4.

That screen on the controller is way too much confusing, distracting and unnecessary.

See thats why I don't do much of the xbox.(PS all day everyday!) but really that is lame copying off each other. If they were goin to do that they need to work together or something.

*shrugs* Get over it.

Just because they use the same technology doesn't mean it's copying.

By your logic, The Wii must be copying IBM!

Tell me, is a DS or a 3DS confusing to you*? That is essentially what the WiiU controller will be, a giant version of the lower half of a (3)DS. A 3DS with the Circle Pad Pro accessory would have the exact same number of buttons as the WiiU will have, including dual "analog". The size of the screen could be distracting, I agree, but I doubt it will be confusing at all. Unnecessary is in the eye of the beholder, as I see great potential.

*Sorry if that question sounds hostile, I assure you I meant in no way to upset you or appear as antagonistic. I am just trying to prove a point.

Anyway, as far as I know, Microsoft has yet to confirm that their controller will feature a touchscreen, so everyone needs to chill out. And why is it a bad thing? Are gamers so blind and afraid of change that they refuse to see the vast amount of potential this has? I can guarantee you, that for many, (3)DS games the touch screen added to the games in more than a gimmicky way (unless I have some clouded definition of gimmick, if so please enlighten me). Heck, touch screens are the best alternative consoles will ever get to a mouse, and they make navigating menus so much simpler. Apple is making fortunes off its iPod and iPhone sales because of the simple touch control games on its app store, and those people making the apps are getting money. Sony added touch controls to the Vita, and that is the only way to navigate its home menu. The fact is, whether you like it or not, touch screens are popular, and as long as they are where the money is, that is the direction businesses will take.

Yes, it's confusing :U

I say it's confusing because I don't need 2 screens.

I thought Sony released a patent that looks just like the Wii U controller last week.

I don't really care. My faith lies with Sony and Nintendo.

Yup, you heard right.

A valid point. But if they use the controller like I am hoping they do, then there won't be too many times where you need to use both screens at once.

Yup, seems like something M$ would do. I think we can all expect this to fail just like what they did with Kinect lol.

You're entitled to your opinion, but make an informed one.

Or wait, are you saying the Xbox's touchscreen controller (In all of its unconfirmed glory) will be awesome?

What's the big deal? Haven't we learned already that everyone copies everyone?
