Xemnas only needed to Sora to complete Kingdom Hearts. So now that we have seen in the trailer Xehanort revived as his true self, what does he want with Sora? Is he trying to use Sora to revive Ventus and Vanitas in order to start another Keyblade war? What do you think his motive is now?

His motive could be to exact revenge...but that is too simple...

If you look closely, Sora's keyblade seems to be a piece of the X-blade.

It could be Ansem's data. Ansem used his macine to try and code Kingdom Hearts into data. The data Sora has within him could possibly be related.

My guess is that he wants ventus's heart for some mysterious reason. Sora as we all know has his heart inside his heart, if that makes any sense at all lol

Yes i think hes after vens heart...but he also likes to use many avenues in case something fails so you just never know. Ansems data if he even knows its in there or maybe a Soranort

To be honest with you I always wondered why he didn't go after Sora from the very beginning rather then riku. I mean you have two boys and one have them has shown him self to be beyond that of normal boy. I think it has something to do with the X-blade my theory is that sora truely does have a heart of light, and that any darknes that lies within him comes from vanitas. Also notice how riku's interactions with the Xehanort's implies that Riku has more darkness in his heart then he relizes. My final point is this four times we have seen friends oppisite side of the spectrum. Aqua(light) and Terra(darkness), Ventus(light)and Vanitas(darkness), Eraqus(light) and Xehanort(darkness) and finally Sora (light) and Riku(darkness).

The X-blade will be forged.

who knows, it could be all of those reasons, odds are Nomura is saving the keyblade war for KH3, it could be that master Xehanort wants to leave the dream world to fight in it if the war starts again, and if that is the case, Sora will be leading the light, so, if that's the plot line for KH3, Xehanort probably wants Sora on his side in 3D, you have Sora, you practically have the X-blade

I think the main target of the series is obviously Sora and I think it is because of 'the heart confined in him' which is Ventus' heart. MX plan might be to forge the X-blade once more and he needed for Sora to sleep and Ventus to awake!

mostly, Sora still carries Ven's heart, xehanort needs it to complete the x-blade, which means he'll need sora, but then again, nothings ever as it seems in this series, but that's the most logical reason I can come up with. also, if vanitas is part of ventus heart, then he's also locked up in sora, so now sora's double the value to him.

Everyone knows if you control Sora(Jesus) you control all the realms.

Exactly as a bad guy you just don't capture the most powerful protagonist and keep him alive unless you need him.
