Considering how we're seeing a lot more images of Sora and Riku fighting with their dreameaters rather than The world's different protagonists, it looks like the Disney characters won't have much of a role gameplay-wise in DDD. Does this upset anyone? I for one was looking forward to fighting alongside Neku, Shiki and Sorcerer Mickey. What do you guys think?

No different to Birth by Sleep, really... Disney characters aren't our partners, but they appear and help us in these "special moves" (Reality Shift in KH3D, D-Link in BBS)

We might still fight along side them, but if we do it will be under special conditions. Like Aqua's fight with mickey. And who knows, maybe the Spirit Prankster will morph into disney characters. After all, we saw the Nightmare Prankster morph into pinochio.

that's what i figured but it's kinda sad, i liked the joint attacks in KH2

As long as it isn't like in Days where they're sentient props, I can't really complain.

Eh idk it might similar to 358/2 Days or BBS, but as i can tell so far some characters might actually help you in the game, like quasi, tron, mickey, neku. But idk

I feel like as long as sora and riku are in the realm of sleep then we have dream eaters....after that those worlds should be saved so maybe we can fight with neku and beat *crosses fingers*

I'm more concerned about the lack of FF characters.

It is fine that we don't fight with them however I hope that in Kingdom Hearts 3 we will because we got to in the other 2 numbered titles. I will be very upset if they keep giving the Disney characters smaller and smaller roles in the games to come...

i am sure some of the disney characters will be able to fight along side Sora and RIku characters besides in the dream world. It doesn't seem complete without them. In every game disney characters have a influence over Riku and Sora and I don't think that connection will die. We do know that Mickey will most likey be there to contribute his keyblade and fight with the heros.

ya I'm hoping we get at least a couple parts where we fight a long side Disney people because the previous games have been really good at keeping both Disney and Square Enix on an equal level of being involved, I just want them to keep it like that because I would hate to see it lean more to either side because I enjoy both.

Me, too. DDD would be such a good game in order to show us what happend in their past (Cloud and Sephiroth etc.)

id like less disney and more ff my fave worlds r always like twilight town hollow bastion an traverse town not the disney ones
