He's still mysterious because he's not the same Young Master Xehanort as the one at the beginning of BbS.

I still doubt that the Mysterious Figure is actually a young Xehanort.

K look what am trying to say is that the mysterious figure is "young master xehanort" OUTSIDE the realm of sleep....heres an example: Sora is like 16~17 but in the realm of sleep he is 14 or atleast the side of 14 years. "Young Master Xehanort" is name made up by the fans and/or who ever translated the trailers. It is NOT an official name. Nomura has only stated that the Mysterious Figure is "the boy with the golden eyes". His identity is still unclear.

 

But my theory is that he is a younger version of Apprentice Xehanort/Terranort. Because at the beginning of the DDD special trailer he says to Sora something like "you have Hearts confined in you too- Hearts other than your own". Meaning that the person talking to Sora also has Hearts within him, namely Terra's, MX's, and Eraqus's.

He's not a younger version of Apprentice Xehanort. He's a younger version of the original Xehanort, Master Xehanort. You can clearly see that the boy appearing in the trailers is identical to the boy which appeared at the beginning of BbS.

You act as if this is all confirmed. Nomura has never said that MF is YMX. Ever. He's acknowledged that the MF is in DDD and that he resembles a young version of YMX. But he has never confirmed anything.

At the beginning of BbS you can see a younger version of Master Xehanort standing on Destiny Islands. You can't really see his face but based on his hair we can easily see that he resembles the Unknown Cloaked YMX look-alike from the recent 3D trailers.

OK, yeah, I think I remember that scene.

A young Master Xehanort is what this mysterious figure clearly depicts, and if I knew no different, I would say that he is definitely just that: Young Master Xehanort. But, I kind of have to piece this together from the battle in BBS. He wielded ethernal blades and not a keyblade, which reading through Master Xehanort's reports, he seemed to wield a keyblade from early on. Not to mention he performed all those ridiculous techniques that we haven't seen an enemy do before in Kingdom Hearts, so its pretty safe to say he's powerful. But, Unless he has some dual abilities such as having a keyblade AND ethernal blades, I'm going to go on and say this guy isn't who he looks like. Granted, we haven't actually seen him battling in DDD(if it's anything like BBS's battle, I'm going to cry), so this could thrown out at anytime. Just my two cents

tutti frutti. Assuming the guy in that trailer that has been named Young Xehanort, at least by us fans, really is a younger Xehanort and the Mysterious Figure, then there is a lot more to expect. But I don't think that this person is Young Xehanort. This person could have very well taken on the apperance of a younger MX that we know in order to hide his identity for whatever his ultimate goal is.
