Note: THIS IS FROM MY MEMORY, SOMETHINGS MAY NOT BE ACCURATE, BUT ONCE I GET A HOLD OF MY NOTES I WILL UPDATE THE EXAMPLES ARE WORD LISTS AS WELL AS ADDING SIMPLE PHRASES AND ETC.
Why not?
Okay first lesson kiddies, the basics.
Let's learn the forms of to be.
Singular
I am ich bin
You are du bist
He/She/It is er/Sie/Es ist
Plural
We are wir sind
You are ihr seid
They are sie sind
You are Sie sind
Ihr seid is basically You (guys) are while Sie sind (note: you must capitalize Sie) is the more formal way of saying You are.
Now look at this chart.
Memorize it.
It is the basis of german.
MEMORIZE IT.
With just this you can say a variety of things by just learning some other easy words.
Like 'Ich bin Koko'
Just simply put my name and now I can say 'I am Koko' in German.
In statement forms, the forms of to be are in the order as in the chart, but it flips when asking a question. I probably can't explain this properly but some example are:
Why are you cold? Warum bist du kalt?
Are you hot? Bist du heiss?
Are you Koko? Bist du Koko?
Who are they? Wer sind sie?
Here is a list of words (right now these are the ones off the top of my head, I will update it as time passes).
