GET YOUR ASS UP! (Fitspo and Motivation)

Posted

So, I finally decided, I needed to get up off my ass and get my ass into a gym and start working my ass off. For far too long I've hated my body and complained and now I'm doing something about it.

I want to motivate others who've always wanted to the same.

So this thread is going to be full of fitspo and motivation and healthy recipes (70% DIET AND 20% EXERCISE) and I'll talk about my own journey towards fitness here.

I want to be in the best shape of my life and I want to be able to rock a bathing suit in the summer and I'm going to do it. No ifs ands or buts. The only failure is if you don't try.

And failure is not an option.

If you want to post any motivation or fitspo of your own, do it, BUT GET YOUR ASS UP AND WORK THAT BODY. I will mostly be posting female fitspo but if anyone wants male fitspo, feel free to ask.

What would be a good way to get exercise indoors when going outside isn't an option?

Sometimes I just play Just Dance for an hour since it gets the heart rate up and it's good cardio exercise.

Anything the just requires movement is good.

Even if you clean, that's better than nothing. Cleaning, standing up instead of sitting down, stretching, or just walk around.

I'd also suggest trying the POP Pilates videos on youtube. They're great. Difficult, but great.

You could do some jumping jacks, burpees (I firetrucking hate burpees), any sort of calisthenics (sit ups, push ups) if you have enough room.

Perfect~

I have a pretty good inspiration video for everyone here. I've been following this youtuber for years and I've decided to share this with you guys. Its about this guy trying to have a healthy weight and get to his goal for the next 84 days. If you guys can watch his video atleast once a day. You'll be in awe. His videos are always full of ups and downs so don't expect any happy videos all the time. Enjoy!

This month, I'm going to get a belly button piercing as motivation to work even harder. I'm going to be focusing on ab/core workouts <3 If I find any good ones I will post them here!

And if anyone is curious for a progress picture of sorts, here you go.

I've only had these shorts for maybe 2 months tops. And when I first got them, they barely fit me. So pretty happy about this.

I don't feel like my body fat % is correct. It says 26%, but I'm not nearly as tiny as you. Maybe it's my hourglass figure or something >.>

FYI, this is awesome :D

This is a smoothie my mother often makes for us. Keep in mind this is for a family of five total, not for one person.

1 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt

1/2 cup of orange juice

10 strawberries

1 banana

Blend and voilà!

I've found a lot of websites with healthy recipes that give the calories for each serving. Instead of just giving you a list of websites, I'll put a recipe each that I have pinned on my pintrest. Then you can check out the recipe and find more yourself ^^

I am pretty much 98 pounds right now.

My mom gives me fruits and vegetables almost everyday.

We have quite healthy dinners as well. (Bonus for being a vegetarian)

Also I always walking down and up the stairs of my gigantic school with a heavy book bag. (No joke...i know its not an official workout but it worked for me.)

I never overate exercise anything.

Last year I think I was around 110 pounds?

So to tell the truth, just dont overeat, have healthy dinners and lunches, and combine your daily routine with a workout which isn't as official and impact but still works good enough. It works, maybe not for everyone, but it can work.

Well for me that is.

Protein is really important, it might help you gain the proper weight you need because 98, imo, is a tad under. You're a vegetarian but maybe you should look for foods that could replace the meat you don't eat.

I asked my brother if my mom does use subsitutes for protein and yes she does.

About how much weight do I need for to have proper weight?

I think that as long as you are sure you are eating fine, don't worry about weigh Shana. Unless you want to put on a bit. Your healthy weight range depends on your age and height and you'd be in a healthy range if you were about 4'11. But even so, some people have fast metabolisms and can weigh 110 and be 5'8 and it's impossible to put on weight.

So I say that as long as you think you're eating well and you feel well, don't worry about it.

And being a vegetarian does wonders for your cardiovascular health so you have that going for you.

I'm 5'4 actually...

So I think I might just put a tad more if needed~

Thanks Koko and Genn =D

Also I thought this was a pretty cool commercial.

I've found some more really great ones and my Zumba class starts in half an hour so I thought it'd be good motivation:
