April 3, 201213 yr Idk, if Vanitas doesnt joine with him, does that mean Ven will have a pure heart of light? But Vanitas has already joined with Ventus, it happened when Ventus defeated him.
April 3, 201213 yr Author Its already been said only Aqua can find him .If Mx could do this dont you think he wouldve done this a long time ago? I didnt say find him, i know MX cant do it alone. But if Vanitas does return he and Ven are somehow connected. Im sure Vanitas could be used as a "tacking device" to find Ven, all MX has to do is unlock the locks made by Aqua. April 3, 201213 yr If thats the case wouldnt that mean Vanitas is technically in Sora now Vanitas = Ven's dark side, and Ventus is inside Sora, so yeah.

We dont know that MX can do that .I think only Aqua can .Thats why she did it to protect him ..
April 3, 201213 yr Author Im also refering to unlocking the locks as well. We dont know that MX can do that .I think only Aqua can .Thats why she did it to protect him .. Hopefully man, i mean MX is a Keyblade Master after all, more experienced than Aqua and the Keylade can unlock ANY lock. Lets hope youre right. Vanitas = Ven's dark side, and Ventus is inside Sora, so yeah. Damn, i though Vanitas was gone for good, well i wonder if his sentiment was canon to the story, i think you fought him after the main story right?

April 4, 201213 yr I'm still thinking that if Ventus is sleeping Vanitas is as well, since both of them share the same heart. Vanitas is not pure evil, he is pure darkness. The novel says that he wasn't evil at first. The novels aren't canon to the games. They have Square's permission to print, but they have their own separate continuity.
April 4, 201213 yr The novels aren't canon to the games. They have Square's permission to print, but they have their own separate continuity. That doesn't matter. It's the story of Vanitas, that's an important point, I don't think they just invented it, I think that's true. Have you read the summary? It says a lot about Vanitas.
April 4, 201213 yr Since the novels aren't canon to the games, then I don't think any theories can be applied to him when it comes to Vanitas's involvement in the future games. Of course, Square may end up contradicting this, but Nomura did say that the novels don't tie into the games.
June 5, 201213 yr Vanitas is Red Eyes, and by the looks of it he has been reborn in Riku's image (when he appears he copys the dream eater symbol of Riku's back, what else has he copyed?) My thoughts exactly. According to what I've read in the BBS Novel translation, he was first seen as a completely dark creature with red eyes. He used Sora's image when Ven's heart was mended by Sora at the beginning of BBS. So, now, I assume, he reverts back to his original form when he fights Riku.
June 5, 201213 yr The novels aren't canon to the games. They have Square's permission to print, but they have their own separate continuity. Well, that's good. I always pictured Vanitas as a sadistic maniac with no remorse for his actions anyway. The novels made him kind of a sad guy.
June 5, 201213 yr Well, that's good. I always pictured Vanitas as a sadistic maniac with no remorse for his actions anyway. The novels made him kind of a sad guy. Yeah, Nomura said that the novels don't affect the games. So Vanitas is still the awesome unrepentant monster that we all know and love!
June 5, 201213 yr Plus its in the air that the Red-Eyes is Soras Nightmare. Here's a crazy theory: When Vanitas was defeated, he merged back into Ven's heart and continued to thrive as a tiny speckle of darkness. When Ven's heart merged with Sora's, Vanitas used whatever darkness that lived in Sora to spread. In KH3D, after Sora was put to sleep, Vanitas was revived as a Nightmare to guard him against anyone trying to awake him, in this case Riku. I know the red eyes = vanitas statement was in a novel with a separate continuity from the games, but in my point of view it sounds solid. It's either that, or Red Eyes is the humanoid version of the monster that Aqua faced in the BBS Final Mix Secret Episode. I'm not sure, but that's the beauty of KH. Anything is possible.
