Well, since there have been rumors going around that Lea and Isa lived in Radiant Garden (same place that Kairi lived before she went to Destiny Island!), I think that it might be possible that they knew Kairi.

It would explain why Axel wanted to help Nami in Re:Com, and why he told Sora that Kairi was in the castle dungeon in KH2 (though he might have only done the latter out of remorse...).

your right thats why axel gave his life to protect sora so if sora lived he would save kairi that and the fact that roxas was soras nobody and yhat roxas whas axel's best friend

It is possible they could have known or seen her around in Radiant Garden, but we do not know the full connection Axel and Isa has with Kairi. This is a very good point you realized and I believe there is some sort of connection.

They might know each other. He did know where Kairi was and all in KH2 and knew how close she was to Sora, so he probably has some knowledge of her.

 

Then again, doesn't little Kairi live in the castle? I mean, in KH1, you see her in the castle's library with her grandmother. Maybe she doesn't live there, I don't really know, just taking a guess there. But if that's the case, they probably don't know each other.

The castle thing would explain why Kiari was a princess of heart, she might have been the princess there, or not, who knows, we will have to wait for the game to find out.
