I have an idea that it will use the same engine as Versus 13. So that could be another reason they'd want to wait until after making versus, along with the teams being busy. But if so, the way this game will look and be will be more amazing then we could imagine.

For Kingdom Hearts, I honestly wouldn't like the Versus XIII engine... at least from how it looks in the trailer.

This has actually already been said by Nomura i believe so its not anything new ..Sorry.

I haven't seen it. but I thought about it so I posted? But I think the graphics would be different and I imagine the look of versus as compared to KH is what people would have an issue with.

Not necessarily.. If they use the same engine all that work is already done on KH3

I would like to see KH3 with Versus XIII's graphics that would be quite interesting to me.

thats very true, my bad dudes. I just assume everybody comes up like that trying to be rude about things. But I like kingdom hearts looking more like a cartoon. like the cartoon look that it has, versus what alot of FF's look lately. It just fits KH better in my opinion

I would love KHIII's graphics to be like FF Versus XIII! I really hope it's on the PS3! (although it probably will be anyways)

the gaming engine of versus has major influences from KH, as for i'ven seen it mostly looks like the KH1/2 engines

but i don't see why you theory would be another reason for KH3 not yet having started?

i think the reason that the majority of the KH staff already is working on versus

and also Nomura needs to make his plot complete, and he needs to get a green light from Disney to use that plot first..

The opening vids of 3D showed great graphics even with Donald and Goofy and awesome detail, now im not saying thats a bad thing its awesome but idk how itd look for some other Disney characters. Truthfully it might look outstanding. Maybe they should try it out.

They'll probably use the Versus engine and yet keep the cartoon-ish graphics we all know. The engine doesn't necessarily means anything when it comes to graphics, TLoZ: Twilight Princess uses a modified version of the one used for the WInd Waker.

 

The engine would rather be used to deal with various effects such as lighting, gravity, wind, and all that.

I briefly mentioned that in my post. But it was an after thought, not really a huge main reason behind why. BUT it would make even more sense along with the fact nomura's team for KH is busy on FF versus. with that being said, i'm sure versus will rule pretty hard too
