Just another one shot I wrote for Tripping Over You. It’s adorable!
(It’s from Milo’s third person point of view.)
-You just love being pissed at me, don’t you? -
The sun rose against pink clouds, and Milo got up to his usual routine; delay getting up, getting up, eating breakfast, brushing his teeth, and getting dressed. He flipped open his cell phone, and quickly wrote out a text to Liam, before heading out. He stopped at the coffee shop before boarding school like always, and as he was drinking, checked his text messages. Nothing. Zilch. Liam always had responded by know. He quickly finished his coffee, and headed off to school. Milo saw Liam in the hall before the first class, and walked up. “Hey Liam!” Liam looked bored. “Oh, hi, Milo, I guess.” Then Noel was upon them. “Why are you hanging around this boy again? We have work to do for the project in History, remember?” Liam half-heartedly waved, and was gone before Milo even had a chance to respond. Okay, Milo had two answers to this behavior. Either Liam was getting to be a good actor, too, or Liam was pissed at Milo. Most likely the latter. Milo turned, and began the crazy day of being in boarding school. Liam was the same in all their classes. Either he was acting bored, giving Milo dirty looks, or talking to Archie or Noel. Milo never could get that kid sometimes.

Milo sat with the rest of the gang at Lunch. Kat was acting like she was bored, and Penny was being a bitch. Milo’s normal lunch. “I just don’t get it. I haven’t done anything to him! Not that I know of at least!” Kat looked at Milo. “There’s your problem. You must have done something to make him this mad.” Milo shrugged. “I don’t remember doing anything.” Penny leaned forward. “What did you do yesterday?” Milo looked up, recalling the previous day’s events. “Well, we went out for lunch after school since his dad was out of town, and he wasn’t mad after it. Then I went home. Went to bed. And now he’s mad at me. Boys sure do confuse me.”

After the classes were over, Milo cornered Liam. They were in an empty hallway before Milo’s play rehearsal. Liam looked at Milo. “What?” Milo sighed. “You know what. Why are you mad at me?” Liam shook his head. “You know when you sent me a text me this morning?” Milo nodded. “Yeah.” Liam looked down. “Well, you misspelled a couple of words.” Milo didn’t know whether to be angry, or kiss him. Liam was so cute sometimes. Milo started to laugh. Liam went red. “It’s not funny. You know I like proper grammar!” Milo laughed even harder. “Let’s just kiss and I can be on my way.”
