Ok more notice or not that Terra gets a bit of hate for being stupid and naive and etc.... Well as you know Riku did about almost the same exact thing, fell to darkness, believed in the villain etc.. wanting to help his friend. But yet I see love and liking for Riku when was just as stupid.

 

Now I thought about and said "Well ok Riku had more time to develop to a likable character and etc..." But still doesn't change Riku was an idiot. Now don't get me wrong I like Riku and all just saying, give Terra a break people out there. lol

 

What are every one else view on this?

I agree .I actually feel bad for Terras situation and his intentions were always good . People make mistakes and hes not the only one in this series to make them .Yet people dont hate on them nearly as much as they do Terra.

Poor Terra. By the way, do you think he should look like this?;If he did, it would so make my day!

I like Terra. It seems that most people's problem with Terra is his voice, not actually his actions. I personally like his voice and for the most part the acting that Jason Dohring put into the character. But, the major difference between Terra and Riku is like you said that Riku has had more time to develop. Also, we have not seen Terra redeem himself quite as well as Riku. Riku's done a lot and sacrificed a lot to make up for what he's done. Terra honestly hasn't had the opportunity.

I like Terra and i LOVE RIKU!!!!!!!!!! ~Terra just hasnt had as much um...screen time as riku. I think if people saw him like i dunno stand up against like xehanort and be good they might like him more

Well...really, Riku didn't do it to help anybody, unless you sort of count Kairi. But he committed to darkness even before he knew Maleficent had her. Riku wasn't afraid of the darkness like Terra was. Terra tried to resist the darkness, but Riku embraced it. Riku wanted the power he could gain from it. So it's a bit different.

 

Still totally loved Riku all the way though.

Right but heres the thing I don't care for aqua's voice at times but I still like just as much before I heard her English voice. So not really a decent point for people to make.

And yeah Riku did indeed redeem himself but for some people to go I love Riku and etc then if they do hate Terra because he is naive when their little Riku follow in his foot steps.

Yes but still he fell into darkness and he did it to help save Kairi, They both fell to darkness, Riku embraced it and Terra resisted at first, But soon later Riku resisted it and Terra kind of embraced at the end so in a way still almost the same.

Pur-leeeease, I'm pretty sure playing through 10-14 hours of Terra is enough screentime. x3 I never played CoM, so I never got my Riku screen time as desired. > Hope to play Re:CoM this summer. And KH3D should definitely make up for it.

He was younger, by quite a bit. From 3D

 

We know that he's grown. Always analyzing and keeping in mind everything he has to do. He learned from his mistakes.

 

But that also leaves the fact that Terra didn't learn from his mistakes... didn't grow because he has yet to get another storyline. Due to the fact he doesn't have a body and is only a Lingering Will in the Armor, we can only see him as one kind of character that was portrayed in Birth By Sleep.

 

Also, what about Sora?

In almost all the games he is very naive. He relies on his heart TOO much.

 

Especially in 3D, if one does not have mastery of their heart, they aren't a Keyblade Master. So yea, Sora is pretty naive himself.

I was thinking this as well Like i remember disliking Riku for a lot of his actions when i was a kid, but when i played through COM the redemption path they put him on made me change my mind about him. They continued Riku's redemption then in KHII to great effect.

 

Basically I think Terra would have the same respect Riku enjoys when the majority of the fanbase sees him redeem himself its probably gonna be a grand gesture as opposed to a storyline like Riku's cause I dont see Terra getting another game. Imo tho Terra doing his best to right his wrongs during BBS make up for his naivete. Like I understood he was the victum but shouldn't of been so trusting

i know that's not a decent point, but that doesn't mean that people still don't use it as a reason. for some people a voice can make a character or break a character.
