No, I only buy games if I'm sure I'll like them. So far I've never bought a bad game xD

Returning something that isn't defective is morally unacceptable in my opinion. That's like watching half of a movie and then demanding your money back. Or eating half of a hamburger and expecting a refund even though there's nothing wrong with it. Not to mention that simply opening the game destroys its value... so if you're not paying for it and the manufacturer isn't paying for it (which he isn't)... then who's stuck with the bill? The store you bought it from is stuck paying and it's completely unfair. If I ran the store then I simply wouldn't give refunds... or if I did, it would be for the depreciated value of the game (since I could sell it as a used game, assuming my shop sells used games).

As a matter of fact... most stores (around here anyway) don't accept returns. I've never tried returning anything so I don't know if they typically stick to store policy, but they've got no-return policies on (opened) new games.

As for selling games back... I have done that before. Only a few games were games that I didn't like though... the rest I just sold either because I was tired of them or had to make a quick buck (which looking back on was a horrible idea because I traded in nearly my entire game collection and only got enough money to buy a single game... never doing that again...)

Who's ripping you off? Oh yeah, it's that very same store. Most people don't have the money to buy an expensive game and keep it if it sucks. I know that if I spent 60$ on a game and it sucked I'd definitely be upset. Because then I couldn't afford one I could actually enjoy and am stuck with a piece of crap game. Luckily alot of stores do accept returns within 30 days, and even if they refuse it's not that hard to resell for a few dollars less.

How is the store ripping you off? They're selling you the product that you wanted to buy (which they are supposed to be doing considering that they are a store)... they aren't seeking out crappy games and trying to dupe their customers into buying them.

If you buy a game and you don't like it then either: you just don't like it (not the store's fault at all), or it truly is a crappy game (but if that's the case then it's because you blindly purchased the game without doing any research... still not the store's fault)

once my aunt gave me video game called toys maker when i was 8......god that game sucked i tried returning it and getting another but they didnt let me so i gave to my cousin.......then i got super mario brothers but i already had that one so i returned that one and got guitar hero for the ds

No, because I don't buy games which are bad. I really don't have tons of money on them so I really think before buying any game.

Now there is single exception since I got Dead Island on my PC and its more fun to play it with my friends via Steam, so I just sold my PS3 copy since I don't need it.

I haven't returned a game since I was 12.

Simple, I don't buy bad games.

When I got Maken Shao Demon Sword on Christmas (I didn't even want it), I returned it right away.

Not my style :/

I trade-in my old games all the time, but I've only ever returmed one game because I didn't like it.

I'm looking at you, Gran Turismo. I swear the people who made that game rode the bus to work every day. They looked out the windows and said "Hm. So that's what a car looks like..."

Only when it's sh*t.
