Final Fantasy Versus XIII logo, and a 'big FF announcement'

Posted

Here's the Final Fantasy Versus XIII logo:

And Square Enix will have a "big pre-E3 announcement, it will include a new announcement about the new Final Fantasy in the series."

This is most likely about Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

And it's about time!

i really hope this is fake... i like Versus. not this XV crap. But it makes sense for it to change for the 25th anniversary. And at least they told us it's releasing next year lol.

It's releasing next year??? Come on, it's been taking so long, they could at least release it this year! They could at least release it the year of the anniversary!

Edit: I clicked the link from baptiscool and I think it's a fake. Seriously, what truthful website would call themselves "Legit Gaming News"?

'Annoucement'? Spelt wrong once is okay, but spelt wrong both times? Really? Also, probably just being fussy here, but I could've sworn it's standard English to capitalise 'Wednesday'. /spelling&grammarnazi

Oh well, this is cool anyway.

Yeah, that's almost as bad as Capcom's spelling errors. This can't be real.

I think it's fake now. I mean why would square enix have their pre-annoucement in a classroom ?

well i saw that "Video" On that site on the source. I wonder how someone could make a trailer like that it looked real but i have a little doubt about it though.

At this point, it could be legitimate, or it could be fake.

As I usually say (and no one listens to), wait until we get an actual confirmation from Square before jumping all over the news.

Someone like me who actually thinks that way.

Something I noticed while I was rewatching that video:

when the logo saying "Final Fantasy XV" showed up, you can see the title in Japanese underneath, like with all their games. One thing I noticed though, is that if you look extremely closely, the Japanese title still says "Versus XIII", and not XV.

As much as I would like to see some more news for Versus, I'm afraid I'm going to have to call shenanigans on this.

Capcom once spelled their own name wrong(Capcpom). I'm pretty sure that a simple type-o isn't a good enough reason to call something fake. We are human and we still make mistakes.

ofc but to me it was the final motivation

it would be strange SE would announce something about it without a real public announcement of the announcement, it wouldn't be so simple to just let the invitation get leaked for example

I'm not saying that this announcement is true, i'm just saying that one type-o shouldn't be a reason. Honestly, I hope it's true, and I believe it's true. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a rumor.
