I`m pretty sure you are not mentally disabled, I`ll admit that I shouldn't use those words, I read your profile and see that you are autistic with Asperger`s. My sister has the SAME EXACT THING! and just graduated NORMAL! high-school today with straight A`s. I`m aware of what you go through trust me. Again i`m sorry that I offended you but autism and mental retardation are two different things... It almost sounds like your comparing yourself to someone with retardation... which is clearly not the case...

 

It applies to anyone who has any kind of metal or physical difficulty. I never compared myself to being mentally disabled individual. I am quite capable. When someone uses 'regarded' insultingly, I feel as though I am held accountable for my own mental disabilities. And it's not my fault at all. I'm not just defending myself, I'm defending people like me. In the end, it is still ableist.
