*Spoilers* Once again the 2nd to last boss is much harder than the final boss.

Posted

Have you noticed that the 2nd to last boss has been much harder in the last few games than the actual final boss? Examples: Xion was much harder than Riku (358/2 days). Data-Sora's Heartless was much harder than Data-Roxas (Re:Coded). Now Young Xehanort was way harder than the Nightmare of Ventus' Armour. I'm not complaining, just something I noticed. I guess it's a matter of opinion, so what do you think?

The bosses in the newer games are only the final bosses...for continuity's sake.

Well yh...Riku in 358/2 days is the best example.

I have to Admit. YMX was hard. Took me a few tries to beat him, but the Ventus armor was easy for me. Beat him on the first try.

YMX was hard but I beat him on 1st try (1st and 2nd playthrough)

the 2nd round with the clock is very

Beat him on the first try.

Do you have any idea what you're suppose to do at the last part of that battle? I've beaten him twice now but I still don't know what I'm really suppose to do at that part. I just mash the attack button.

In BBS the final bosses were all their hardest except for Aqua, who had annoying Braig.

But yeah, I have noticed that.

Here's how I see it. The penultimate boss is the difficult typical "final boss" while the last boss is a symbolic, easy battle that shows the scope of the game and is cool.

Vs. Riku, Vs. Data-Roxas, Vs. Ventus Nightmare Armour are all amazing battles to imagine, but easy to fight.

I found Ansem's giant monster/heartless thing to be much harder than YMX and Armored Ventus.

Well they did have boss after boss after boss, so maybe they thought they would make the final boss easy. I fought Xemnas then went right into the Anti-Black battle, then Ansem, then Young Xehanort. Boss after boss after boss....YMX gave me a hard time i'll admit but it was epic. I'm glad Armoured Ventus was easy after all that.

im still stuck on the second fight with ansem SoD

but on the subject of final bosses is it just me or does it seem like a lot of them have been oversaturated with annoying BS gimmicks that are near impossible to avoid? like in the second ansem fight the laser dosent even give any warning before starting, and who the hell thought it was a good idea to give him that move where he grabs you and shoots laser shots at you rappidly.

and its not just BS in the bosses im starting to notice its also things with the deck commands like if you get interupded during cure even if your at the very end of the annimation it wont give you any HP. and that annoying nightmare that has the two bunny like ears has so much BS, you cant even attack it from behind while its blocking.

i know the game needs to be tought but it should be stuff that you learn to fight against, not just stuff where you ridiculously level up to avoid losing all HP from a gimmick you cant avoid. hope the series dosent continue with this stuff

Actually...Trollanort and the Ventus Nightmare are both the final boss.Just think about it.

You can't save or do anything else between those 2 fights.

Young Xehanort was harder than Armoured Ventus Nightmare (DDD)

Data-Sora's Heartless was indeed harder than Data-Roxas (ReCoded)

Braig was harder than Ven/Van (BbS Aqua)

Vanitas was harder than X-Blade Vanitas (BbS Ventus)

Xion was a lot harder than Riku (Days)

Omgggggg, the battle against YMX was...jhg765t8i/rages. I was ready to quit. x'D

well the reason for Riku being a slight pushover in days was probably because of the fact that RIku himself felt pushed into a corner to the point that he needed to use the powers of darkness, so if the player didn't feel that sense of power over Riku, then it would look like Riku popped out the Darkness Pills just to overdose. But for the Ventus Nightmare armor, Nomura wanted to add an extra boss into the game otherwise it would feel anticlimactic with 10 mins of nothing but cut scenes.

If you watch Ansem he'll do something right before the lasers. Thats how you know how to dodge it. Its tricky but doable.

Me to. I think it took me over a hour... When I got all his HP all the way down, I was like "YES!"....but NO theres a 2nd part that even harder.. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/sleep.png

I found him very easy. All you have to do is constantly dodge and use Dark Firaga on him and attack when he stops for a minute. I beat him pretty quick without dying or taking much damage. Ventus' Nightmare armor was even easier, I will agree with that part. lol

YMX was easy, although I admit it took a while since I forgot to quickly pull off a reality shift. Ironically Ven Nightmare Armor I found difficult due to the the final attack. Ansem SoD was tougher and a bit longer than YMX.

BBS: I found Braig easier than Vanitas (Aqua) Terranort harder than Xehanort. (Terra) Vanitas was the same difficulty as Vanitas with X blade. (Ven)

In which he goes MF on ya. Too bad I couldn't enjoy that as much as I wanted to, what with trying not to get killed and all. xDDD

Now that I think about it, that's totally true!

I did however find the 3rd to last the hardest though,

I'm still stuck on Anti-Black Coat. Although that could be because I'm only lv. 38. I'm usually at least 50 by the end of the last world.

If youre stuck on Anti-Black Coat then youre going to have a REALLY hard time with Ansem & Young Xehanort. Maybe Ventus. For Anti-Black Coat you just have to dodge that HP draining attack & its pretty simple. Good luck.

My thoughts exactly. I'm just glad he wasn't as hard as he was in BBS. I'd rage quit. It was a epic/fun fight though once you learned his patterns & stuff :) still hard, but whatever...lol

I couldn't beat YMX in BbS...so I'm really glad that he was easier in DDD!!

and compared to him from BbS the secret boss in DDD was a piece of cake ! (beat him on 1st try in my 2nd playthrough)
