So when someone becomes a heartless a nobody is created. My question is, where do they go when they're created? Do they just pop up in a random world? Same for heartless. Do they just appear in the realm of darkness or what?

 

EDIT: Thanks for all the replies, I now have a better understanding of where they go. I am also wondering, does anyhting happen if ones Heartless and Nobody are near enough anything happens? I realize *SPOILER* Ansem and Xemnas are side by side in 3D but given the fact they are special Heartless and Nobodies, I would think it would play out different. For example, some guy named Joe gets turned into a Heartless. Joe's Heartless comes into contact with Joe's Nobody (A normal Nobody, this guy had a bad heart). Would anything happen or not? Could it possibly create another Joe? Just an idea I had, wonder what you guys think.

Edit. I didnt realize you asked about heartless too.. They appear where the person fell like when u saw Sora as a shadow right where he stabbed himself

The Heartless usually appear where the original person fell, and the Nobodies spawn in the relm of in-between.

There was a random NCP in Traverse Town in KH1 which became a Heartless. His Heartless spawned at the exact same place as he lost his heart. Sora also lost his heart later in KH1, and his Heartless also spawned where he had lost his heart.

 

As for the Nobodies. I think it was in one of the Ansem reports where it was said that Nobodies are born in world that lies in the Realm Between. Some of these worlds are Twilight Town, Traverse Town, Castle Oblivion and The World That Never Was.

Isn't traverse town the world in between worlds or something? So won't they go there?

Ienzo said something about a place to go when the place youre supposed to go to doesnt exist which was Traverse Town. But he was referring to the reconstruction of a person rather than a nobody. Thats not really relevant I just thought id through it out there. And we do know that Roxas was born in Twilight Town for sure. I think Namine was born in Castle Oblivion but I cant say for certain.

well the nobodies are created in the Realm between. where as the heartless are created in the same place where the person lost his heart

Interesting question. This topic has never been addressed in the games so far so it could either be nothing, or perhaps something might happen. I personally highly doubt anything would happen.

In days, when Rosas went into C.O he collapsed because sora was in the same place as he was, but then again ansem and xemnas are badasses so it probably doesn't effect them as much....or....
