Amon 4,279 Posted September 23, 2012 A race between Sonic and Rainbow Dash would be a matter of the race's distance. Sonic can run at an average maximum speed of Mach 7 where as Rainbow Dash flies at an average speed of Mach 5. However Rainbow Dash's speed is instantly doubled to Mach 10 once she commences a Sonic Rainboom. Assuming there was perfectly flat and stable terrain for Sonic to run on and clear skies for Rainbow Dash to fly through the race would probably go to Rainbow Dash if it lasted long enough for her to gain enough speed for a Sonic Rainboom.
