Anyways, I just thought about this right now. Since Sqeenix is pushing out these HD collections, starting with KH1FM, Re:COM, and some Days cutscenes in KH1.5 Remix....that would mean KH2.5 Remix (I would assume it would be called that), would have KH2FM (*prays*), Coded, or even Dream Drop Distance. In fact, I'd bet they do the same thing they're doing with Days in the first collection, and just shove out some Coded cut-scenes in favor of having the full games of KH2FM and DDD. (Seems legit, right?)

 

So, then, there lies a question: what about Birth By Sleep?

 

I mean, I can remember a while back (this was even in the KH13 news bullentin) that Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep was ranked on a list of PSP games that fans wanted to be ported to PS3. I don't remember the exact ranking, but I can guran-damn-tee you it was pretty high. (BBS is one of the best PSP games ever made. Real talk.)

 

Logically, I can see Square Enix taking above initiative. Birth By Sleep kinda deserves to be a stand alone title anyway, considering its a prequel to 1. I mean, it would make more sense if it was packaged with 1.5 Remix in the first place, but I digress.

 

So, what are your thoughts? Port or no port?

 

Surprisingly, that's all I have to say. I usually have my first posts so long you need to scroll to read the entire thing, but right now...meh.

 

Maybe that's why I'm using 18 font to overcompensate? 0-0.

I don't see them putting DDD in a 2.5 if there is one.

It would be kinda wierd replacing 3D with Hd.

 

My guess for 2.5 would be:

Kh2

BBS

And cutscenes from Coded

 

But there is no telling what the firetruck Square enix will do.

and on top of that the first HD Collection has 3 games in it, 2 that were on a Sony console, and 1 from a Nintendo Console, and the 2 from the Sony Console are Playable, and the Nintendo one is just HD Cut Scenes, and the 2nd HD Collection is set up for the same thing, 2 on Sony Consoles, 2 on Nintendo, the 2 from Sony will be the playable games, and 1 from Nintendo will be just HD Cut Scenes, and KH3D will not be in there at all i am guessing, since it was just released, if it is on there it will prob be just cut scenes, just touched up'ed a little

Let's remember now that the 2.5 remix hasnt even been confirmed yet. but if it were a possibilty I would like to KHIIFM, BBSFM, with cutscenes from coded. that means the two remixes would each have a numbered title, a major title that is portable, and cutscenes from a Ds game.

I know that, but they had plans for it (and so would have had some form of storyplot with it), so I thought it'd be a nice inclusion the the BBS package

Personally, I think it makes more sense for BbSFM to be included in 2.5 because it has more of a connection to 2FM than 1FM with Aqua's armor, Xemnas showing signs of having Terra's memories, Roxas's physical appearance and the Destiny's Embrace Keyblade. And as far as DDD goes, I wouldn't want it in 2.5 because even if it was in 3D (PS3 has 3D games) I don't have a 3D T.V. and even if I did I wouldn't want to have to use the glasses.

This I don't quite understand. Because first of all, coded was remade once already, for the DS. I think it would be overkill to remake it yet another time for the PS3.

Also, coded is yet more rehashing of KH1 worlds whereas 3D has mostly new worlds and is much more relevant to the overall story arc. Added to that, whereas coded would basically *need* remaking for an HD version, KH 3D can be simply ported over, like a PS2 or PSP game since the graphics are pretty much at the same level.

 

So if anything, I'd say it would make much more sense to have only cutscenes of coded in there but have 3D playable.

 

(Some like to argue that it's too early for that since 3D came out fairly recently, but keep in mind that PSP games like God of War: Ghost of Sparta and MGS Peace Walker were barely a year old when they were put on an HD collection. If Sony and Konami have no problems putting new games in their "Classics HD" collections, why should SE?)

Come to think of it, Re:Coded was a remake in its own right....somehow I forgot about that. But anyways, considering that factor, it would make a couple more licks of sense to port DDD and just throw in some HD Re:Coded cutscenes instead of porting that game over too.
