Would you prefer days before kh2 or after

Recommended Posts

So i was thinking about the HD remixes and something occurred to me. Would it be better if the games were released in chronological order or in the order in which the originals were released?

You know like, HD1.5 having KH1, COM and KH2. Although it might not (or might) be possible to fit so many games into one CD, don't you think it would be better?

Try to look at this from a new person's point of view (i.e someone new to the series playing the remix as his/her first game) wouldn't it look better if they played BBS and DAYS after playing KH2?

Think about it. They'll play the KH1 part, COM and then go to KH2 where they'll start off with Roxas, who was a bit of an unknown character in the beginning(at least to those who didn't spoil themselves). And that would create a sort of mystery about his life in the Org.XIII. Then they watch DAYS and the mystery unveils.

Also, the secret ending of kh2 would make more sense if bbs came after it. ( but i'm pretty sure that's gonna happen)

What i'm trying to say is, well, you know that feeling when something your curious about is finally unveiled? Well if the games come out in chronological order, then there wouldn't be much to be curious about then would it? You'd already watch days and when you'd play KH2 you'd already know how Roxas came to be and everything about his time in the Org.13.

I've pretty much got no other complaints except for DAYS being put before KH2.

What would you guys prefer?

I've written the word days so many times i've actually started wondering about the meaning of the word 0_o

Edit: I miss understood what you were saying, my bad.

I think it's fine the way it is, but I see what you mean about people who are new to the series will already know all about Roxas when they play KH 2 then. I suppose that would make KH2 lose the mysterious feel it had at the beginning. :/

The order in which they were released is the order that they wanted you to experience the story in (which is arguably made to purposefully confuse you, what with the scene in Days with Xigbar and the fact that Organization XIII was in CoM, Terra being in KHIIFM, MF in BBS, etc.) but playing them for a second time it'd be best to do them in order. That way you can see the chronology.

Well honestly I like it the way it is, KH2 then BBS and Days, because KH2 left questions unanswered on purpose, that were answered in BBS and Days, heck Days even posed questions for BBS (the whole Xigbar and Xion who looked like Ven scene among others)

It wouldn't really give the same feeling of curiosity like you said, it would kinda just be in a linear order, where everything is spoon fed to you from beginning to end (or atleast that's how I imagine it would be) as opposed to that feeling of shock when you realize "oh those three guys were the armored knights from KH2's secret ending" or "so thats how Roxas ended up in Twilight Town"

I'm sure the order they were released in wasn't by accident, they wanted to release BBS and Days after 2, because that's the order they wanted to the story to be told.

Well it would be easier to understand. Sure, you wouldn't have as many questions in kh2 but I guess it would also be easier for people to understand it too.

Overall, I think it's good like it is.

I'm a little confused about the OP, but I like what Wakeless said.
