Think Pink 1,967 Posted October 22, 2012 You are adopted. You have never fit in. You are worth more than you ever imagined. Crystal Powers & Controllers Healing - Luke (The Unversed) Fire - Seth (terraxaqua34) Water - Pacifica (TheApprenticeofKingMickey) Love - Jenna (Xeveemon) Future - Annabeth (Think Pink) Hate - Nathan (dusk) Psychic - Tery (baylaust) Speed - Chelsea (Yuffie Kisaragi) (Note to the Roleplayers: You just had the dream about having to get the the gazebo in the middle of the lake. I'll get there first to give you something to work off of. Also, AT LEAST FIVE WELL-WRITTEN SENTENCES.) Annabeth felt like something was possessing her mind. Why was she even considering leaving home? This was ridiculous, and she knew it. Yet she carefully pried open her window, slid down her roof, and hopped lightly onto her lawn anyway. She sort of recognized the gazebo. It was the old, rickety one in the middle of the lake about half a mile behind her school. Her old bike was tossed aside next to the garage, so she pulled it upright and started to make her way toward the lake. The sky was only just beginning to lighten. If she hurried, she could get this stupid idea out of her head, prove to herself there was nothing at that lake, and return back home.Peddling as quickly as she could manage, it didn't take Annabeth more than fifteen minutes to reach the lake. She listlessly threw her bike aside, and circled the lake until she found the creaky old bridge that connected the land to the gazebo. It looked like it would fall apart at the slightest touch. She took a cautious first step, holding her breath in case it gave way. When it held her weight, she took advantage of her luck and sprinted to the other end, until she was safely on the gazebo. She took a deep breath and dropped to onto one of the wooden benches built into the gazebo. As if she'd flipped a lightswitch, the scene changed from a dark view of the lake to a more brightly lit gazebo, where seven faces stared back at her. Just as quickly as the vision had begun, it stopped. She shook her head nervously and fingered her crystal necklace. "Maybe I'm a little too sleep deprived."edit: sorry if the formatting is a little weird. WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted October 22, 2012 Jenna was already at school making up a test she had missed from when she was on a field trip. She was done with it in a matter of minutes. She was walking to her locker when she saw someone go to the gazebo. She twisted her crystal necklace. "Did someone just go into that gazebo? So that dream actually meant something?" Jenna said aloud. She walked out of the school and headed to the gazebo. In a matter of minutes, she found the girl who had went into the gazebo. "Hey! Wait up!" Jenna said to Annabeth. baylaust 2,531 Posted October 22, 2012 "Go." Tery's eyes shot open and he lifted himself off of the bed quickly. He ran his hands over his face for a moment, then opened his eyes. The image was still in his head; the image of an old, run down gazebo in the middle of the lake. The strange thing was, he knew where this gazebo was. It was maybe a 30 minute walk from his home. What he didn't understand was why he had dreamed about it, or better yet, why he felt the desire to go to this place. His mind ran over the risks of going out to this place, without warning his foster parents or any of the other people there. But no matter what the risks were, he couldn't hold back that strange desire. He had to go to the gazebo. Quietly changing into a plain white t-shirt and brown shorts, Tery walked to his bedroom window. Just before he left, Tery remembered one last thing. He ran to his dresser and wrapped his purple crystal necklace around his neck. He then returned to the window. He quietly pushed it open, and slid outside, climbing the tree outside of it down safely to the ground. Tery then started walking. After about 30 minutes of walking, Tery saw the gazebo, sitting in the middle of the lake. From the distance, he could see a couple of people already there. There was an old, creaky bridge leading to it, not in good shape at all. Tery cautiously walked across it, his light weight keeping the bridge stable. He saw two girls there already. Without moving any further forward, Tery spoke quietly. "Hi..."
terraxaqua34 98 Posted October 23, 2012 Seth layed on the ground as the smoke flew into the sky from the burn out fire. He sat up. His fingernails digging into the dirt. He smelled something burning. He jumped, alreated as he started a small fire. He quickly stomped it out. He sighed and held up his hands close to his face. He made them into fists He started making grunts.'' Why? Why must I endure this curse? Haven't I suffered enough?!'' Seth yelled as he calmed down. He held his necklace. The red jewel sparkled from the sunlight. He held it and closed his eyes.'' Maybe if I find that river, I can finally get clesn of this curse and the burden I have been carrying?'' Seth asked himself as he grabbed a backpach. The one thing that he has been carrying around. It contained soap, clothes, water bottles, and food; which he had so little left as he has been forced to ratio his food so he can surivie. He stomped out the rest of the fire and started walking to the direction he heard running water. Seth emerged from the forest as he saw the gazebo and three people heading to it. He then saw a bridge to it. He slowly step onto it. As soon as he did. He saw cracks. He decided to slowly walk on it. He kept going until he got inside. He saw girl and a boy. The girl was just sitting down.
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted October 23, 2012 Chelsea climbed down the stairs noisily. She didn't care if her foster parents kicked her out. These were a particularly bad pair too. The quicker she was rid of them, the better. But now she needed to focus on what she was doing. Following a dream's orders without hesitation? What kind of nut-job does that? Chelsea sighed as she slammed the door behind her. It was beginning to turn light, but the morning dew still lurked in the grass. She pulled the jacket that she had grabbed on her way out closer to her chest. It was chilly out, though in a pleasant way. Still wondering why she chose this one time to follow directions, Chelsea made her way to the lake. Standing on the edge of the lake, she muttered to herself. "I'm crazy." Chelsea made her way to the bridge which lead to the gazebo in the middle. Sighing again, Chelsea walked across the bridge and found two boys and two girls already there. This was quite mysterious, five people having the same dream, the same night? Had they been put under hypnosis and were about to be mugged? Nah, these people didn't seem too special. Chelsea relaxed a little bit, and sat down on a bench to the side.
The Unversed 168 Posted October 23, 2012 "Man it's soo early in the morning, i hate working this early". Luke said as he was working on building a house and then one of the workers shouts out 'launch break!', "Yes" Luke thought to himself. While Luke was having lunch one of the workers said to Luke 'Hey, you, why do you have a Clear Crystal around your neck?' Luke simply looked aside and said "Never mind it & don't ask again, ok". Luke then ask the worker "Hey, do you know about a place called the gazebo?" the worker replied, 'uh, yar, i do in fact, it's near a school, not far from here'. "i'am going to take a look whats there, ok, tell the boss i'll work late or something K, see ya" so Luke made his way to the gazebo and crossed a very old looking bridge to get there. Luke saw 5 people there and he was wondering what they are all doing at a place like this and why he come here also.
dusk 910 Posted October 23, 2012 "Annoying, annoying, annoying, annoying!!" Nathan shouted as he kicked his door open with so much force that it almost flew. Nathan had just woken up and he couldn't stand the weird dreams he saw and now he was angry enough to go and put that place upside down. Nathan still buttoned his shirt as he walked out from his house and then slammed the door at least in same force he had kicked it open. Nathan took his cigarettes from his jacket and took one. "What kind of guy would want to annoy me even in my dreams?! Screw this alien technology!" Nathan thought and walked to lake where he had already been various times when he was kid. Sun shined pretty brightly by the river and Nathan couldn't see all clearly, but then he looked at gazebo. "Now that I think about it, I haven't been in there before" Nathan said with curious tone and scrateched his head. Nathan walked carefully through old wooden bridge. For Nathan's bad he was too heavy for bridge and his leg went through the plank and Nathan cursed as he lifted himself out from there and then quickly went to gazebo. "What is with this creepy place?" Nathan said as his crystal necklane swinged a bit.
TheApprenticeofKingMickey 3,689 Posted October 24, 2012 Pacifica drummed her fingers against the steering wheel restlessly. Her gaze darted all over and the heat of the day seemed to suffocate her like the pressure at the bottom of the ocean. Though, the idea of deep underwater pressure was more of comfort than the desert she was in, so far from her element. She hadn't expected to take her dad's truck, to drive so far into Washington state where the the temprate rainforests didn't exist and only a semi-arid climate remained. The dream she had the misfortune of dreaming was only increasing her restlessness and the best part was, she had no idea where she was driving, just going by instinct. She had left her ocean side cabin after dreaming of that cryptic angel, texting her parents; letting them know she would be back in a few days. Now she found herself driving into what seemed a moderate sized town, hours away from home. Paci let out a loud sigh, finding herself parking nearby an empty clearing. Across that clearing was the lake and floating gazebo. With it, were a group of people she didn't to recognize. With a sigh of apprehension, Paci smoothed back her ebony hair and got out of the truck. She stretched her arms and legs, alabaster skin contrasting against the hot sun. Her blue crystal swung and thumped against the exposed skin of her chest. It was so hot, she was glad she was wearing summer attire. Sweat coated on her forehead and when multiple pairs of eyes from inside the gazebo fell on her, Paci swallowed nervously and walked towards the lake. Think Pink 1,967 Posted October 24, 2012 Annabeth had taken a sudden interest in the floor boards. Why were all of these people here? She tried to force on a vision to at least give her a hint, but no such luck. Her powers came and went as they pleased. She didn't have much control over them yet, and it didn't look like she was getting any closer to finally understanding them. "Um," She cleared her throat. "Hi." The words sounded forced, and Annabeth blushed out of habit. She wanted to ask what on earth all of these people were doing here, since she'd never seen anyone on the gazebo before, but for some reason, she felt like she knew. These people were here for the same reason as her. Her sparkling black crystal suddenly felt hot. It wasn't painful, but it was enough to startle Annabeth. By the surprised expressions beginning to form on the others' faces, she noticed they all had crystal necklaces like hers, but in a variety of colors. What's going on? As if on cue, a horribly familiar figure descended from out of thin air in front of her. It was the angelic figure from her dreams--there was no doubt. The voice that flowed from its lips sounded inhuman, like music. "Hello, Crystal Guardians." It bowed its head. "I am Hyron." "Are you an angel?" Annabeth didn't realize she'd spoken allowed until the angelic figure laughed sweetly. "No, I am not." Hyron pointed out toward the far end of the lake. "Your quest begins in that direction. You have exactly one month. I would hope you learn to control your powers in this time. I'll be haunting you for a while." Hyron winked at Annabeth specifically. She decided Hyron probably was the one controlling her dreams and visions. "Good luck and safe travels." It flickered, and disappeared. Annabeth's eyes scanned the lake. There was nothing special about it. Why would there be a quest on a lake? Was she hallucinating? For a moment, Annabeth seriously considered running to the nearest mental hospital. She fought that instinct down, and faced the group. "Does anyone know what that was about?"
TheApprenticeofKingMickey 3,689 Posted October 24, 2012 Paci leaned against one of the pillars at the entryway of the gazebo, still blinking her turquoise eyes. The sunlight framed her figure, making it seem like her pale skin emitted a glow. She was stupified, more specifically by the winged being that had recently appeared in front of her. She clutched her aquamarine crystal, eyeing all of the faces in the gazebo. Moistening her dry lips, Paci spoke clearly despite her nervousness making her voice all quiet. "The direction the angel…," she shook herself and smoothed back her dark hair out of anxiety. "Hyron. He pointed westward. Towards Seattle. My home city. I'm pretty sure that's where we have to go." A look of incredulity stole over the expression of the group, disbelieving she had driven from so far away.
WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted October 24, 2012 Jenna was shocked about what just happened. "That was odd. I have no clue what just happened, but I do know that I am not the only crazy one here. If we all have crystals, then that means we all share a different power. I know that I can control love, and everything about it, but I can't fully use it yet. By the way, was anybody else here adopted?" Jenna asked as she looked around at everyone there.
baylaust 2,531 Posted October 24, 2012 Tery stood somewhat distant from the rest of them. He felt really uncomfortable around large groups of people. Large groups of people that all wore necklaces similar to his, that he had never met before, after he had just seen what appeared to be an angel talking to him and the rest of them, weren't much better in his opinion. At the moment, everyone was looking at the tall, ebony haired girl with the blue crystal, the sun reflecting off of her skin and making her almost glow. He immediately looked down to his feet. "Um..." All the others turned to look at him. Tery immediately felt even more uncomfortable, and spoke in a quiet, timid voice. "I think... um... maybe we should get to know each other first... we all have these crystals, so maybe we have other things in common, too." Tery slightly looked up, turning a bit to another girl. The one who said she had the power of "love.". "I'm Tery... and yeah, I'm adopted as well."
terraxaqua34 98 Posted October 24, 2012 '' I'm Seth.'' he said while getting up. He saw he burned the floor a bit with his hands. He saw everyone stare at him. Seth glupped.'' I have the power of fire I guess. But please, foreveryone's safety, do not come near me. I might end up hitting you like I have to everyone I have ever met.'' Seth shaked.'' I was the one who caused that fire at that school. I am so sorry. I've been on the run for a few days, so I don't know how long I have until the poilce come and take me away.'' Seth sat on the floor, being careful. He didn't want to burn anything else, most even the people he is about to meet.'' We do have the crystals and as that girl said, I believe we are all orphans. As far as I can remember, I've been a orphan, never knowing my real parents.'' Seth hugged his arms.'' I hope this quest doesn't hurt me or make me hurt anybody that I might bond with.'' Seth held his crystal as it felt hot for an odd reason.
WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted October 24, 2012 Jenna looked at Seth. "Well don't worry, I think we would try and prevent something like that from happening to you. But somebody ruined my grade on a test that I never got to take because he plays with fire." Jenna said. Her necklace then went off at Seth with a reddest pink color, the symbol for break-up or hate. "Anyways, names Jenna. I am an orphan myself, but my foster parents treat me like their own kid, so my life is pretty easy. Plus I am rich, so thank my lucky stars I found a good home." Jenna said. dusk 910 Posted October 24, 2012 Nathan, who had standed in just observing the situation until now trying to keep his real personality more hidden, just because he would probably punch someone and really hard right now - but as expected he couldn't help himself. Nathan snapped his cigarette and stomped on it, but not too hard knowing that he probably would go through the planks again. "I don't know about you guys.." Nathan started raising his eyebrowns and looking at everyone. "but.. This thing starts to irritate me - and badly. There is something that just reeks about this" Nathan also realized that he was probably the oldest one of the all people here and thought. "Ah great.. These are all kids... well atleast I have harder time fighting with people like this so probably I can hold myself" "Anyways, I'm Nathan. I have no idea about my real parents, but I don't have any need for it so I really don't care. Also: I have no idea about this crystal necklane, if anyone has I would like to know" Nathan felt like he was observed about something or someone and looked little bit behind himself, but didn't seem to notice anything unusual. "Damn, am I really this paranoid"
TheApprenticeofKingMickey 3,689 Posted October 24, 2012 The fist that clutched her azure crystal was whiter than the normal hue of Pacifica's skin and that was saying something. She gave Nathan a nervous and slightly scared look. Her anxiety spiked as she looked at him. He unsettled her. He was probably what one would call very fine. He wasn't exactly handsome but he was very good looking and fit, his blond hair and dark eyes complimenting his appearance. She tried not to sugar coat the way he looked with her thoughts but that was honestly the only she could think of describing him. Never matter how pretty he looked, she couldn't stamp the inexplicable urge to run away from him. He made the fright and flight response rise up in her. Something inside her churned furious, like a wave. Paci shuddered with dread. The more intense Pacifica's emotions became, whether good or bad, the more powerful her water manipulation was. At the moment, her anxiety and discomfort reaching a peak. They were all lucky she was nowhere near the ocean or a catastrophe would ensue. She took a deep breath, looking away from Nathan with her eyes falling on the skinny boy who had habit of continually saying, 'Um.' "I'm Pacifica and I live in Seattle. I drove this far into Washington from that far west. Anyway... I don't know about the crystal but whenever my emotions get really intense, the more powerful my apparent water manipulation becomes. It's always been that way since I was twelve. So I apologize if an incident like that ever happens."
WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted October 24, 2012 Jenna looked at Pacifica. "Really? Cause whenever I see, well, when I see a certain someone, my necklace acts up with more power than usual and makes others fall into its spell. Like once I made a brown haired girl fall in love with a goat, and I had no clue about it til days later. But whenever anyone gets on my bad side, bad things happen to people." Jenna said. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted October 24, 2012 'Great. I'm in one of those weird group dreams. Thanks world, I really needed this.' Chelsea thought sarcastically to herself. Whatever was going on would be interesting, that was for sure. She looked around at the group of people. If ever a group of more different people had assembled, she didn't know when or where. Chelsea sighed again, bringing attention to herself. She'd been doing that a lot recently. "I'm pretty sure we're just experiencing a group hallucination, but might as well go along with it. My name is Chelsea. I was adopted. Not completely sure of what my power is, but I know that I'm fastest in the state. And especially recently, my speed has increased exponentially. That could be it." Chelsea spoke matter of factly.
baylaust 2,531 Posted October 24, 2012 Tery looked at the ground, shuffling his feet uncomfortably. Talking to large groups wasn't his strong suit. Talking to girls REALLY wasn't his strong suit. One thing she said, however, caused his head to slightly jerk up, his eyes meeting Pacifica's. For a brief moment he hesitated, but he managed to break through his natural reclusiveness to talk to her. "So it's the same with you as well?" Pacifica slightly tilted her head to the left, eyeing Tery curiously. Tery continued, speaking mostly to her, but loud enough for the group to hear. "I can... move things. With my mind." His right hand rose and held the necklace around his neck, his fingers lightly brushing against the purple crystal attached. "When I get really stressed, or nervous, or worried, things just... I dunno, happen. Things might move, or float, or be sent flying through the air. I have no idea how to control it..."
Think Pink 1,967 Posted October 24, 2012 Annabeth bowed dramatically. "And I am Annabeth, the great Seer of Random Shit in the Future." Her eyes drifted in the direction Hyron had pointed. The sun was beginning to clear the horizon, tinting the sky a pinkish orange. Kind of like the tug that had forced her out of bed and to this gazebo, she felt like she just had to go that way, even if she didn't know what she was looking for. But then, what about her parents? They'd have heart attacks if they woke to find her missing. Annabeth was not a rule breaker--in fact, she wasn't sure she'd ever done anything so extreme as sneaking out in the middle of the night before. Maybe she should just continue the streak? "Well, the thing pointed that way." Annabeth reached up to cup her crystal out of nervous habit. "I guess we should go." It suddenly occurred to Annabeth how stupid it sounded to ask a bunch of people she'd never met before to come with her in the direction of what was most likely a hallucination. She felt her cheeks grow hot. "If you guys want to." She added quickly.
TheApprenticeofKingMickey 3,689 Posted October 24, 2012 Pacifica was suddenly struck with an idea, a ridiculously stupid idea but an idea that could work nonetheless. If only she could prevent her parents from finding out then… Her anxiety lessened as excitement churned so intensely inside her that it showed on her face. The water around the gazebo turned choppy in response to her emotions. "This is a crazy, stupid, idiotic idea but… I don't know if any of you are comfortable leaving home but I really need to get back because my parents will wondering where I am," she breathed in an effort calm herself. "If our quest starts west, we might as well go that way, right? I have a really huge ocean side cabin on the outskirts of Seattle. My parents only visit it on weekends. There's tons of space and lots of rooms. God, I've never done anything like this before but, um, if you guys are serious about this, maybe come back to the city with me and stay at my cabin?" Pacifica suddenly frowned. "I only have room for four other people in my truck so unless someone else has a car or can afford a bus ticket…" She trailed off, wondering what in the hell she was doing. The Unversed 168 Posted October 24, 2012 Luke just stood there watching everyone have emotions and saying stuff. Luke thought to himself "I came here to find out what was with that dream i had and this is what i get, a bunch of strangers that have problems. Not to mention this girl Annabeth who wants me to go with her to some place I've never been to haha". Luke just simply said "My name is Luke and I'll go if some others will go, also wake me when that happens K, I'am taking a nap". So Luke laid down on some grass under a tree a started to fall asleep bored.
WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted October 25, 2012 Jenna didn't take very long to walk over to Luke and slap him on the head. "No resting. If I can make it with only two hours of sleep, then you can make it a little more. Now I have a special ride that can take us to Seattle, except for the fact that I don't want to leave. I have a huge test later today and can't miss it. Plus what about my friends who will wonder about me. The thing of my parents is they don't really care where I go since I go somewhere else every other weekend." Jenna said. Jenna then pulled out her cell phone and started to type a message to let her parents know where she would be going.
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted October 25, 2012 Chelsea made a 'Tch' sound after hearing Jenna's excuse. "So a great mystical angel asks you to go on a quest and all you can think about is your grades and your tidy little friends. Wake up and realize there's a world out there. It may not be what we expected according to this, but it's out there. I really don't care about missing a few days of school. Not like anybody'll miss me anyway." Chelsea spoke, simultaneously insulting the rich girl and agreeing to the plan. She already didn't like her. Most people probably already didn't like her, something that was normal in her life. WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted October 25, 2012 "Well excuse me, but I never miss a day of school and have all As, and my friends respect me. If I were to go on this trip, I don't think I would be very well respected with strangers. And I know there is a world out there, I visited France, Italy, Paris, New York, London, and so on and so forth. I have lived the best life an orphan can live. And I don't believe that thing was an angel, it didn't seem like God sent it." Jenna said. Jenna then looked at the sky and sighed. "But I guess I have no choice. I guess I will have my limo come pick us up." Jenna said calling a number on her phone.
