I read this earlier, didn't feel as excited like I did for the new DBZ movie.

When they decided to air GT episodes on Nicktoons without airing the Buu saga, it probably left many newcomers confused with the HUGE timeskip, but now they'll have a chance to fill in the gaps so good for them! Plus, it'll be cool to see what changed and what stayed the same.

I am glad. I like Kai. Not as much as the original, but i still enjoy it.

The original Dragon Ball series was still by far my favorite. So I'm only semi excited about this because the buu saga is where I quit watching dbz halfway through because it was way too prolonged I couldn't take it anymore.

I'm looking forward to this! I didn't think they'd do the Buu saga.

Kai is good but the original series are better to me. The ost from DBZ is holy and you cant find better soundtracks than that in any other anime, neither in Kai. There like 3 or 4 only soundtracks that i enjoyed i nkai while in DBZ i enjoyed all sountracks. Dont care if DBZ has fillers or not because DBZ fillers are awesome, Naruto the numer one anime that rip off Dragon Ball should learn somethin with this too. Garlick Junior saga?! Other World Tournament saga?! firetrucking awesome filler sagas and both connect reall well with the plot. One, show us how they dont always need Goku to save the earth and how much gohan grew. The other one shows more about the other world, the kais, and has the epic final between Goku and Pikkon. There's too the false namek planet filler saga, which i dont consider so good as these ones, but still enjoy it wihtout problems though.

 

Besides since i saw DBZ a lottt of times , when i saw Kai, all that things happening so fast, there wass some moments i rather the time they had in DBZ to happen. For example: Vegeta being healed in Frieza planet before going to Namek. In Kai that happen like in 2 minutes , too fast in my opinion, while in DBZ it took some episodes before we got healed from all this injuries which makes sense because he was near death and needed some time to recover 100%. Thas only one example, theres more, but Im lazy to write it

 

So it's like this to me:

DB Kai - 8/10

DBZ - 11/10

And the Other World/World Tournament/Majin/Buu sagas weren't going to be originally done because they aren't in the manga.

Just got to it a few days ago.

 

I know that. However, I'd rather just call it "DBK" because I realize that the "Z" is just for marketing. I know what I'm watching anyway. It's all the same.

 

And NO.....they ARE in the manga, silly head. Besides, they shut down because it lost popularity. No interest = No motivation to keep the show going. It's just business, I understand....however, that doesn't make me any less excited that it's back.

Well, uh, by OST you mean US right? As in Falconer? Cuz if you do....well, I'll say that his music is good....but let's be honest here, it kinda ruined som monets in the show where we needed absolute SILENCE....plus I don't need an BGM track made in my country to enjoy anime. I'm perfectly fine with what was origianlly intended, whether it be rock or jazz or what the composer calls for.

 

Oh...this is a tough one for me to talk about....uh.....admittdely, yeah, there was some good filler in DBZ. However, that does not mean at all that all of it was good. May I remind you of the pointless comedy episodes, the prolonged plot points, the meaningless staring contests, power up scenes, and all that. That's not so hot in my eyes....in face, I have the nerve to call it downright horrible. Kai has nothing like that. Yeah, they kept in things like the Gregory character and some other stuff, but other that that, it's straight to the point. No extra crap needed. No time-wasting. I don't care if Vegeta needs time to heal, I want his ass out of there so he can go kill Cui. Just Saiyan.

 

And look, not every single thing needs time to take in. If it did, it would have happened in the manga. All I'm Saiyan is that there are times in this series where it would have been better off, in the orginal, to just get shit done.

 

Long ass power up scenes? No. Speed that shit up and get to fighting. Staring contests? Nope. Make a move, already. Tension bulding where there's no need for it? I get it! The situation's critical, so do something about it already! :angry:

 

Whew....sorry. Went on a tanget there....now, don't get me wrong, I respect your opinion. I just have a different one, and I have a lot of passion for it as well as this series.
