Got it, beat it, it was a waste of my time. Made me mad enough to make me bite somethingpost-37503-0-16186200-1352676488_thumb.jpg

Its the only one I consider a filler, the only thing it matters is the last cutscene. But still enjoy it a lot :P more that i thoguht i would, but yeah filler...

I really think the only good thing that came out of it was the note Mickey wrote. We got to see what he said finally xD

To fill in some plot holes.

It actually explained some things. Especially the ending.

Yeah all we found out is what Mickey wrote and Xehanort's return

explains the ending of KH2, direct sequel to DDD due to secret ending, shows how Maleficient started her quest to get Data Worlds.

Well, story wise, it isn't that interesting. But gameplay wise it's much better than Days.

The only important aspects of Re: Coded

- Those who are in pain as we found in the text scene with Namine, Sora, and King Mickey

- The letter containing the contents of those who need help

- The secret ending that explains Xehanort's return and also a teaser to KH3D

That's pretty much the important parts of Re:Coded honestly http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

But gameplay wise, I enjoyed playing it.

Days is overated, too repetitive.

Well, it's a fun game, and the end has some good information and ideas for KH3. Obvious ones, but still...

Filler is a good word to describe it.

no way, you'd put coded over days? in any aspect at all? That's interesting to hear... I totally disagree I loved everything about days. it lacks the replay value that bbs and the ps2 games had, but hey I got to the stage where I didn't even want to finish coded the first time. It annoys me that Square made a game so poor to illustrate some really key details - and that I have to live with knowing there's a kh game that was a total let down....

Coded has gameplay variety. Every planet has its own method fo fight the bosses. I got really surpruse by that while in days overall is too repetive. Going back to the same damn planets countless times, doing missions (some were bored). There was some times I would be like "oh no i have to go back to that boring planet again.."

Still enjoy it the game in the end, because im a KH fan. Im not saiyan its bad but its the worst one until now to me, yeah. I think its really hard new people got interested in the series playing days as their first game. The only thing i really loved In that game was the relantioship between axel-roxas-xion which became my favourite trio in the series. After finished a boring mission, the ususal cutscene of them together watching the sunset on the clock tower while sharing ice cream would give me strenght to not drop the game.

The point was to have fun? Re:Coded was always meant to be a gameplay focused game and I didn't find it so much "bad" as really simple. Which isn't bad.

You couldn't be more wrong sir.

Re:Coded served to let know that Sora was connected to all those people, Terra, Ventus, Roxas, Aqua...

Coded is important both maleficent and Young Xehanort mentioned the datascape in DDD.

I see your point, and totally agree that sometimes there were missions I couldn't be bothered with, but you could skip through some of the more boring missions (no option with coded). I quite liked the fighting style on days as it reminded me a lot of the original style of KHI, whereas the whole 'debugging' thing seems so much of a gimik and I didn't enjoy it at all. I admit 100% that my argument is based on my preferences and opinions - however I do agree with this topic's first post, but argue that 358/2 Days is much more essential to the series, and I believe had a much greater story - as I'm sure you understand. I'd be willing to bet you found it easier to emerse yourself in the Nobody Trio than anyone in the coded story. I concede the gameplay is a step above Days in Coded, but does that make Coded better than KHI because it's newer and more advanced? Certainly not!

I'm sorry man, I just find it hard to see how Coded is overall better than Days, and that Days is the worst. Let us not forget the card system of fighting from Chain Of Memories (GBA)! lol - good story to it though.

Chain of memories is one of the worst too xD. yeah i agree with you there, 358/2 days is more essential to the story than re:coded which i consider a filler like I said above, but its a good filler.

I guess it's just a difference in taste and preference :) Nice to hear an opposing opinion though! (gave like)

If they didn't put in Coded before Dream Drop Distance, we would've never found out why the events of DDD even occured! Personally, I think it was essential to the continuing of the story and filling in plot holes that would never have been filled in otherwise, even poking in MORE.

Recoded, although feeling a bit inconsequential to some, drove the plot of the series forward and had pretty solid gameplay.

I thought it was obvious that 'coded' was just to make easy money. I mean, it was a cell phone game in first place, thats why I wasn't expected much when they made re:coded.
