November 24, 201212 yr These are the only PlayStation 3 models to be backwards compatible with PlayStation 2 games. They are all discontinued so you would have to purchase a pre-owned one. November 24, 201212 yr Oddly,though they do play most ps1 games. Yeah, for some reason Sony continued to be backwards compatible with PlayStation One games. I don't think there's ever been a PlayStation 2 or 3 model to not support them.
November 24, 201212 yr From 2008 PS3 models onwards, they stop producing PS3's with PS2 backward compatibility due to feedback of graphical issues to some games.
