How is Traverse Town. . . *spoiler*

Posted

How is Traverse Town still a Dreaming World. At the end of KH3D, you see Sora dive into the sleeping world of Traverse Town. As you know, Sora and Riku unlock the keyholes for this world. With this fact, Traverse Town should be awake by now and should not be a dreaming anymore. I also understand that Destiny Islands was a starting point to the realm of sleep and by unlocking the realm of sleep it unlocked one of the sleeping keyholes. I just don't understand why they consider that a sleeping world when clearly it's not considering Destiny Islands was revived at the end of KHI and that knowing that sleeping worlds are worlds that fell into darkness but were not revived following the defeat of Ansem Sod for unknown reasons.

It's been explained in the Famitsu interviews that Sora and Riku time traveled back before their island became a sleeping world and were specifically send there to open the sleeping keyhole of DI to enter the Realm of Sleep.

And as for Traverse Town, as Flaming Lea said: It is world that stands between light & darkness and are called to those who are in seek of shelter as Ienzo pointed out in DDD.

but when did DI become a sleeping worldsince a sleeping world is a world that was not revived after the defeat of SoD

I know that they traveled to the pasr and i know they used destiny islands a a gate way into the dream realm. What im saying is that i dont believe it was a ever a dreaming world.

As it's already been said Sora and Riku were sent back in time right before Destiny Island's became a sleeping world. Up until the moment that the door to the world's keyhole was opened Destiny Islands was a world in the realm of light. Once darkness began consuming the world it began to drift into the realm of sleep in which Riku, Sora, and Young Xehanort were able to dive into the realm of sleep. From the point when it fell to darkness to the end of KH1 Destiny Islands was indeed a sleeping.

Watch from 15:06 on Yen Sid explains what happened.

Everything Flaming Lea has told you is confirmed in game btw.

As for Traverse Town Joshua called upon it in order to house the dreams of his friend in order to help them restore to their former selves.

No  the sleeping worlds did not only include the ones that Sora and Riku visited. Those were just the ones that were still sleeping at that time period, also every time a world falls to darkness it becomes a sleeping world.

And also I knew that the sleeping worlds did not only consist on the ones the only sora and riku I mean that's obvious. what got me was the underlined.

Well your welcome but not for nothing Flaming Lea has already pointed out to you all of what

I said. I simply reiterated it with an in game cutscene, also wiki is a horrible source for information as it can be edited by anyone.

Exactly what I've tried telling him but he won't listen ...lol ..He needs to read the interviews ..

Trust mee when I say I know exactly how you feel.a) take it up with Nomura as already statedb) read the interviews as already statedc) I think you might be looking into it too much, take it for what it is, it's pretty obvious that the island was going to sleep at that exact point in time. Even though before and after it's not asleep.Any who no need to elaborate on it further, looks like the case is already closed.

no no. flaming lea's work wont go unnoticed. i really enjoyed having the convo we had.

I know that they were sent through time and by doing so, it changed they're outwards appearance and all. But that doesn't explain why it's a sleeping world. The reason they start out there is because by that time they resided within Destiny Islands and didn't go world jumping yet. After all, a sleeping world is world not revived or not ceased to exist such as The World That Never Was. Heck, End of the World could have been a sleeping world.

FYI, i went back to the cutscenes and Joshua specifically says, "this world only appears when someone out there is need of it, i'll spare u the details, but right now it's made up of my dreams". It's made up of his dreams, his dreams are obvi his, ergo, technically he made it. And because it's made up of his dreams, hence dreaming. That might be another reason Sora can still return to it, Because Joshua is still using it.

But what I want to know is how did TWTNW become a sleeping world?!?

Have you read all the posts in this thread ? It's an in-between world .It can exist in sleeping and while awake .Just like when you visited there in the last world and Riku entered in sleep but by the time he was in the Place Where Nothing Gathers he was awake as an example.

Thanks for clearing that up!

I love the KH series to death but 3D confused me a great deal~
