I pick Resident Evil: Revelations because I felt that this game kinda brought back the original survival horror genre where you're lacking on finding ammos and had to venture through the dark. It has those moments in the game when you really feel lonely when you're separated from your partner and had to walk through dark hallways.

 

2 - XCOM: Enemy Unknown (PC)

 

Even though there are a lot of bugs in the game, that doesn't change the fact that you're still having fun loosely in your own world creating your squad and naming them after your friends & Family, later to find out that one of the aliens killed them and you swore to revenge on them!

 

3 - Dead Or Alive 5 (PS3)

Why did I choose Borderlands 2 as the best game of 2012? It is the game It is just badass on every level possible. First Borderlands was good game, but little bit tiring and it had some weird bug issues and PC version was pretty bad console port(the story was nonexistent). I was kinda afraid to pre-order this game, but this was definitely right choice to pay full price for. Just ONE playthrough where I barely explored or did too many sidemissions took me 50 hours. And I have beated this game three times (there is lot of replay value, it's fun to try out other classes and there is multiple playstyles with all of them). There is so much stuff to do: amount and variety of missions is large: the milieu changes all the time and there is different types of enemies rather than just random soldiers around the world. 

Amount of different guns you can find is endless, any enemy can drop you new weapon that is unique. The best part of this game must be the characters though: Everyone fits so well in the weird and twisted world of borderlands, Tiny Tina, who is 13 years old explosive expert who loves tea parties 

Doctor Zed, who has no medical license (I think that is enough explanation) 

And pretty much everyone in this game is awesome. Especially my favorite villain of 2012: Handsome Jack. He is cool, he is evil, he is cunning and he succeeds as a villain (and he is voice acted by Dameon Clark)

. Yeah and this game has the best humor I have heard in any video game. Can I say more about how awesome this game is and is there any other reasons why you should buy this? I think not. Just get it, you will love it
