January 9, 201312 yr I... don't see what's so great about this. xDBut looks cool. nothing really. It's a slightly improved resolution, and a higher range of colours. Basically, if you had a TV much bigger than that, it'd be kind of cool. So all in all, this isn't terribly exciting stuff.

January 9, 201312 yr Author I hope the next gen consoles aren't exclusive to this type of tv. The PlayStation 3 somehow works on LDTVs. Nuff said.

January 9, 201312 yr Depends on your TVs size. It's unavoidable. It's appreciable, sure, however, it's neowhere near the jump from, say, 480p to 720
January 10, 201312 yr Author It's unavoidable. It's appreciable, sure, however, it's neowhere near the jump from, say, 480p to 720 We didn't go from 480 to 720. We went from 576 to 720. If you compared 1080p to 4K on a 100" TV you would see a big difference.

YOU did North Americans didn't. there reaches a point where resolution just can't make as much of a difference to the human eye To put it simply, a casual observer can see the difference between HD and SD. That's not the case with 1080p to 4k ... wait, out of curiosity, are you one of those people who thinks the jump from DVD to Blu Ray was bigger than from jump from VHS to DVD?

That was North America's choice. So they must put up with 480p for SD channels and DVDs. Of course not. The VHS was analogue technology.
January 10, 201312 yr Author Looks pretty cool. Probably will never be able to get one though. If you keep buying TVs you will. It will eventually go down in price and replace LCDs and Plasmas.
January 10, 201312 yr Popular Post That looks bad-ass *o* We just got a new HD TV this Winter. So not any sooner than two years from now, considering if we it even gets shipped here
