I love the FE series. I started with FE: Path of Radiance for the GCN, and have been in love with the series ever since. Intelligent Systems really outdo themselves when they develop these games. Great, strong plot, AMAZING character development, and majestic OST. The tactical strategic combat system is really engaging and really makes you think and plan ahead. Challenging as hell on hard difficulty. I'm extremely excited for Awakening, and from the trailer(s), it looks great to me. February 4th will be a great day. Anyone else excited for Awakening as much as me?

I married my MU to Lissa. No regrets, both kids are pretty well off. I might marry Nowi (super powered manakete sisters for the win), Tiki, or Anna if I do another play-through with Male MU.

I dont know if you guys thought about this but when you make your avatar female you think about the guy your gonna marry like how hot he is and his personality and how homosexual it sounds ( nothing against gay people btw ) and I dont know I find it kinda funny anyone else? Just beat the game last night, at over 102 hours in.  

 

Apparently I went through the whole game not knowing what the "Mt" stat did in forging. I thought it meant "Mount", but it was really "Might". /noobmistake

So last night I finished Fire Emblem Awakening but I was really, really, really underwhelmed by the ending.  (I'll try use as little spoilers as possible but there will be a few)

The main thing that really got to me was how it was all text based except for the last 10 seconds.  I mean, they've been using amazing animated cutscenes through out the game but not in the ending!!! Why not?

 

At the final boss I chose to have myunit end it and sacrifice himself.  An animated battle scene would've been nice but it didn't happen, and his final moment....just in game graphics.  It made the ending feel soooooo short and him not valuable. And also when everyone says they're going to find him you could tell that no one meant except for Chrom, Lissa and Morgan.

 

 

I like the part that happens at the end of every Fire Emblem where they go through what happens to the characters after,  I liked that, but everything else just felt so lacking.  All in all actually plot wise, it was alright but the presentation of it just....underwhelmed me so much.

I'm not sure what everyone else thought about it but I'm interested to see what everyone else thinks?

Chapter 5 has to be the hardest chapter in Fire Emblem. I mean there's way too many enemiy units and there's the fact that some of my characters are underleved and really need to gain EXP. I would love to go get EXponential Growth DLC since that helps you level grind but I currently don't have the money (yeah I'm broke atm ). I mean there are WAY too many enemy units. And then when i kill a few units more of them come from the forts and kill my units that are low in health. I mean, sure you can have one of your guys be in the fortress to prevent enemy units from respawning. But then when you move that character out of the fortres whwn you really need him they still respawn. Which is stupid and annoying >_<. I mean I plan on buying a few DLC packs to grind on because some of my characters need to be leveled up BADLY. But still, there are wayy too many units that outnumber and overpower my units. How can the game expect me to beat 19 enemies with only 9 people? Why can't I use everyone in my ints list ?

Chapter 5? Please, it gets way harder than that xDAnd the number of units you can use depends on the chapter. It really helps to pair up units^^

What you SHOULD do is send Erk to get rid of the Cavaliers and Ser-

Well, I don't know much about Awakening....What I usually do is send in my mages to deal damage to the knights, and archers to wound cavalry and myrmidons, while peg.knights finish off myrmidons and so on

After looking up which mission this was, I agree that it was difficult. Keeping Maribelle and Ricken alive was annoying, and the enemies were pretty strong at that point. I'm not quite sure what I did to get past it, as I can't remember if I had EXPonential Growth at this point or not. I do remember that I eventually just accepted losing a unit or two to clear the map, as I am on Casual mode. :S

 

There are harder chapters later though, especially if you want to count the paralogues.

I'm did Hard Mode as well. I can definitely say you'll have some difficulty ahead then.
